Great to see Americans appreciating British comedy because it often goes over the heads of foreigners. Al Murray is a legend, fair play - but we have so many more, past and present, to enjoy. From cheesy one-liners to edgy stage controversies, we have it. Most of all, we like to take the mick out of ourselves - that is British humour at its best, in a nutshell. Al Muray is great but he couldn't have been more wrong about the 2012 Olympics. It was a feel good event that surpassed everyones expectations. It was a joyous event for pretty much the entire nation. He couldn't have been more wrong but in fairness to him everyone was a critic of the games prior to the event. Cynical and pessimistic is something us Brits do well too.
