I went to school reunion the other day, it only seemed like yesterday that I having a crafty smoke behind the bike sheds, chasing the girls and having a good kiss and feel up, oh I wish I never give that caretaker job up!

I absolutely love you two. You are so loving and at ease with each other after your enviously long marriage, that your senses of humour have beecome one. I'm from London and II have said hi before, but long ago, so you won't remember. Anyway, it was a pleasure catching up with you and laughing along to the inimitable Tim Vine. Like you, he always leaves me gasping for breath.

As Brad & Lucy get our humour so much it's only fair to explain the " Smoking/Bike Shed Joke ".. Bike sheds placed in the quiet area's of schools for pupils to store their bikes was for generations where you would sneak off to have a sneaky fag/cigarette to impress your mates , and in mixed boys/girls schools it was where you got to learn about " the birds & the bee's xxx".
@NewFalconerRecords Жыл бұрын
In Australia the equivalent is "Shelter Sheds", places where you could get out of the sun during hot days. in milder days when those places were not so frequented you would sneak off "behind the shelter sheds' to get up to all kinds of mischief.

Tim's always been my favourite. My first job was working with an irish fella who did this humour all day. I couldn't stop laughing.

I remember as a kid with one of those aerials in my bedroom and trying to find the best picture. Would be standing on the bed, on the wardrobe and would sometimes have to have it hanging at some strange angle from string with drawing pins that would pop back out and the heavy back part would come swinging back down and either hit you in the head or wake you up in the middle of the night

Breathe Brad - Breathe!! At 12:02 the bike sheds reference is that at school everyone who smoked used to go behind the bike sheds to do it...

Loving your Tim vine reactions - too hilarious, and he's such a sweet dude. Sending love from the UK. Your Black Books reactions are brilliant 😍 Huge congrats on shifting off the cigs after so many years Lucy - seriously impressive. My dad smoked on and off his whole life and went onto vapes and e-cigs but is recently trying Füm - dunno if it's sold in Canada but it has no vapour or nicotine and just uses plant extracts in different flavours. A bit pricey to start but the refills aren't too costly and it's a nice bit of kit made of wood and metal. My dad likes the maple pepper and crisp mint core refills, they smell super tasty.

Well done for giving up smoking. Vaping definitely helps. I did have hypnotherapy aswell. It’s now been 9 years and don’t think about it at all. Keep going!

Not only are they brilliant jokes but how on earth does he remember them all?
@FortisConscius Жыл бұрын
He's revealed that if/when he forgets jokes, he goes to the props bag. There's a bullet point list hidden there to help him remember. He gets to do a prop gag for cover, and reminds himself of the next few jokes. Very smart and subtle.

The bike sheds joke, they are not cigarettes. It’s an old Brit thing where kids at school would sneak behind the bike sheds (shelters) to have a smoke.

Had a friend who gave up smoking before an operation and quit completely, my dad gave up as well but my mother carried on, I'm not saying women can't, it's just in my experience. It could be an inhaler your using so what's the difference.
