His jokes depend so much on his timing, which must change constantly depending on the audience. He is a true master of the one liner craft. Am absolute genius

They're very cleverly constructed gags. Seeing Frankie Boyle reminded me of how quickly a comedian can nose-dive when they stop trying and just go for the lowest common denominator of simply insulting people. Mr Francis has retired now (unheard of for a comedian!) but his jokes will remain as classics. My favourite of his is: _"Should lesbians be allowed to use dildos? They've made their choice..."_

He’s good though, kind of reminds me of Steve Wright, part of the skill of short gags like this is to use so few words to misdirect before you flip it in the punchline. To use so few words shows a mastery of the language - as Churchill once told the House of Commons 'i apologize for the length of my speech, I didn’t have time to write a shorter one'

I met Stewart years ago when I first got into stand-up (I gave it up after a few years, when it eventually dawned on me that I was crap!) He's a lovely guy. Some comedians (well-known or not) are so far up their arses that they can see out of their own eyeballs twice over, but he's not one of them. A really nice bloke who was very supportive of a ridiculously nervous newbie.

It's lovely to see you two 'in stitches' (laughing). Stewart Francis's stand-up is very good quantity and quality, without swearing! I regularly watched "Mock the Week". So I've seen all of those. However, some of his jokes happen quicker than my recall! 🤔 They introduced a _lot_ of good comedians to UK audiences. Sadly MtW's ended. 😞 Merry Christmas, and Happy, Peaceful New Year, to You and Your Sprogs. 🎅🎉 ☮ G-Man 😎

Mock the week was never a good show, they did have some very good comedians on over time, but many were very weak. This guy is sharp - and Frankie Boyle could be very sharp at times, but overall it was not strong comedy.

It got progressively worse with the new wave of unfunny UK comedians that came on the scene. Few exceptions with Milton Jones being one.

@@NicholasSarsby I thought this guy did ok. I just never watched because there were too many feeble comics on there

Never a good show that ran for 21 series. Yeah, maybe it’s your taste that needs cancelling.
