I don't know if this is a good video idea or not, but can you do a video about hair density. I'm having trouble figuring what type of hair density I have since my hair is fine, but i have a lot of it. Because its fine, the ponytail test doesn't seem to be very accurate.
@mytypeofjordan4 жыл бұрын
For the static hair trick: Static hair occurs when your hair builds up an electric charge, meaning it has gained some extra electrons thanks to friction or a change in humidity. That makes the strands of your hair repel each other, leaving your hair frizzy and difficult to style. The tin foil at the base of the brush acts as a ground for the electrons to travel to, neutralizing the charge in your hair.

The ‘science’ behind the foil thing: Your hair gets static when the electrons, part of the atoms that make up your hair get knocked off, so the atoms become positively charged. The foil is made out of metal (obviously) and has free flowing electrons (that’s how metal is able to conduct electricity) so basically when the metal (foil) touches the hair, it replaces the electrons that was rubbed of. :)
@laneygarner69874 жыл бұрын
So it would be easier to rub the foil on your hair? Lol
@DoKuShOsTaR4 жыл бұрын
Laney Garner Probably? But I guess the point of the “hack” is more so about brushing it down, so if you do the hack you brush it while you do it?

When our hair becomes static, we gain or lose electrons making the atoms in our hair charged meaning it has more or less protons than electrons. Then when you get the foil close to the static hair, it takes the extra electrons from the hair and makes the atoms in the hair neutral meaning they have the same number of electrons and protons so it makes the hair not static. For the people who want this information from another source (Wikipedia) : Static electricity is an imbalance of electric charges within or on the surface of a material. The charge remains until it is able to move away by means of an electric current or electrical discharge. Static electricity is named in contrast with current electricity, which flows through wires or other conductors and transmits energy.[1]
@carolinemunoz30984 жыл бұрын
Yes, but your hand would do the same thing, as humans are conductors as well. And the aluminum foil isn't making contact with the hair, it would only make sense if the foul were being rubbed on the head, and even then, it'd be questionable

for the static “trick”: When you rub a balloon or plastic bag on the hair, the extra electrons in the molecules of your hair are transferred to the balloon. The hair now has a net positive charge and so the strands repels each other (since like charges repel). The positive hair is attracted to the negatively charged balloon (negatively charged since it picked up those extra electrons). When you brush it out, the metal will replenish the positively charged hair with electrons, bringing it back to normal (since metals tend to donate their electrons). With neutral charged hair , there is no more static

Its a hard for someones but here is my tips. Allways keep the iron upside down while doing a curl. I mean the hot side of stick/iron is pointing down. And dont do too much at the time. And not washed hair can be oily and make it harder so washed hair is better. Allso, 'over curl' them and let the curls cool down before styling.

For the aluminum foil hack to get rid of static: Static electricity is the build-up of electrons, and aluminum is one of the materials which give up some electrons when in contact with said electricity. Thick and wavy, sounds like you have beautiful hair that most people would be jealous of, girl! The frizz is normal with wavy/curly hair btw
@Lrodpotato4 жыл бұрын
Use shaping cream or lots of conditioner. It gives your hair moisture so it doesnt frizz throughout the day. Also shampoo less or wash your hair with water only. Easiest low maintence way to keep your frizz free. My hair is rly curly and thick and I remember as a kid going to school with super frizzy hair in a ponytail (The Florida weather didnt rly help either) and I wish I knew I could just buy shaping cream at 12, put it in my hair and it would stay in its natural curly shape with no frizz. 😔 So if your like me where you keep your hair either loose or picked up majority of the time then this is rly all you gotta do.

Static electricity is the imbalance of charges. Friction between a brush and hair causes the electrons to transfer to hair making it negatively charged and leaves the brush positively charged. The force of repulsion that causes your hair to stand on end comes from the fact that there are only negative ions, if you think of a magnet, negative and negative poles repel. When you add tinfoil to the brush you make the brush positively charged because the metal loses electrons giving it this charge. When you brush the hair with the tinfoil brush the electrons gathered in the hair jump to the tinfoil handel as an attempt to give both the hair and tinfoil brush a neutral charge. I hope this is right and helpful, it's been a while since I studied static electricity.🤗😹🙏 PS. Love you Brad!!❤😽
