i made it boys, i can crush 1/2 and 2/5 tables pretty steadily.. i called out all the villains hands before I were able to see it. I put the villain on A T against his KK when he called and then 4 5 when he called 250 more. just excited that im able to have a decent read and realized I upped my poker skills.

Hey Brad. What I like about this video is the pain you show towards the end. Not schadenfreude on my side - just respecting your honesty. As you know, that’s poker. Like a game of chess, one miss-step messes everything up. Sh!t of a game sometimes!! Thanks for the vlog and showing us the bad times along with the good! Still a winning session - on to the next one.

So call me stupid, but I'm not a gambler obviously... I just really enjoy your vids because you are very adept at explaining your thoughts as you vlog each hand that's interesting. I wouldn't know what or where to bet anything, which might just come in handy against guys who know their stuff and "expect" certain things and I would be all over the place, probably busting out quickly, but who knows. Anyway, the question is, I always see you "tip" the cage, either cash or chips. How do you know how much to tip and why? I mean the cage people didn't do anything but cash you out. Just wondering is all.

Not glad you lost at the end... BUT - glad you did and then walked away still up for the session- that's something that isn't easy to do - and a great lesson to do that. I have a question - ??? Say you go to a table and win a BIG hand right away and don't know you really want to stick around and want to max your profits, how long should you stay without doing a hit and run??? Hopefully you can answer, I know you're busy. Thanks Brad!!

I remember the exact situation I stopped playing professionally as well. In charlestown casino. Last 300 from my bankroll. I said before I started playing that if I lose, I'm done. I flopped the nuts with AQ suited after I raised it preflop. Got it all in on the turn with four to a flush somehow when I had the second nuts. 97 suited made the straight flush. I turned over first and said I have the nuts in a timid way trying to be nice to the person who called expecting to win. He said I have a flush too, and then says, oh, I have a straight flush and scooped the pot. The worst part? He almost folded because he didn't know he had a straight flush at first. I didn't know it at the time how rare that situation happens in cash games and should have given myself a little slack at the time. Reason I was broke? Lending people money that didn't pay back and losing a couple of sessions thinking I would just make the money back I loaned out. Learned a lot of big life lessons back then and plan on going back to professional play when my kid is older .

Hey Brad - really enjoy your videos. Quick question for you as I just noticed it in this vide for the first time: how do you decide how much to tip after you win a pot? I play a local 1/2 game and it can vary pretty wildly among the players. Mostly based on the overall size of the pot, but was curious to hear if you have any set system or if it is just sort of random.

On the AQc hand (14 mins into the video) on the turn you say that checking leaves the door open for him to bomb river as a bluff as if that's a bad thing. I just feel that would be a good outcome. Like what hands are you really scared of at that point in the hand? He most likely doesn't have a King or a set. It's risky but I'm inclined to let the villain bluff off his stack there on a ton of river cards. Great content though as always!

15:40 Not a fan of betting that turn and I think your process is too fear-based (avoiding possibly uncomfortable futures) rather than reason-based. Opponent is more polarized to K or air. You're more condensed after calling pre-flop and flop. His range is very much KK, Kx, underpairs, or air, but leaning more towards underpairs and air after checking turn. Against that range I can't imagine betting second pair is good. The only bad river card is Ax so you don't gain much from equity denial. You fold out his airs and (usually) underpairs, and just build a bigger pot against Kx/KK. I don't worry about him betting the river because whether he bets the river or you bet the turn another bet is going in anyway, and I'd rather have that bet going in with his bluffs rather than me betting and folding out his worse hands and building the pot for his better hands. If he bombs the river then, yeah, you have a decision that's just down to whether you expect he's overbluffing into your condensed range Vs how often he's checking the turn with a better hand. IME players (even good ones) don't check strong hands enough OOP, especially after they've polarized by 4-betting pre-flop and betting flop, so the turn check probably weights him more towards air/underpairs than KK or Kx, so if he's a good players that will put condensed ranges to the test it's probably easy for him to overbluff the river.

I have been a Poker Player for years going back to backroom games in Alabama. I send this message because I am not looking for Money or backing. I am looking for someone who has walked the tough road and would be willing to mentor someone who feels they are above rec. I have cashed in WSOP and final Tabled Winter Classic out of Tunica. But I am really wanting to break some Real-Life bad habits and focus on enjoying poker as a challenge and learning experience proving anyone who puts their mind to it can achieve.
