Check the vacuum hose from N75 solenoid to turbo compressor housing, it could be spilt giving you boost spike and overboost.

Had same sorta problem with my old mr2 roadster the back storage filled up like a fish tank behind the seats! I know exhausted Bruva, got his engine out of the mx5 at the moment I think his got big plans for it && I sold my mk4 golf it is the biggest regret I have!! I wish I kept it. It’s your choice but once it’s gone it will be hard to replace trust me!

Giovanni maggio this is such a common issue across all 1.8t’s. The problem is there are so many proposed solutions. For me the two most plausible causes are either the actuator on the turbo opening up too soon, and releasing boost, or the diverter valve leaking boost.

Need a benchmark coil pack then the turbo won’t spool off and come off high in revs and stop at 2 🤘🏼

It can also be your shifting technique, if you dont release the cluch completely it can have a little boost from de gear. I have it in my golf too.

Sadly nothing to do with the clutch. It does it when you're slowly accelerating, not when thrashing through the gears 😴

No.1 plug ur charcoal canister back in because it effects the fuel taples no.2 unplug the MAF so that it reads default values if that don't work check ur n75 also check vacuum lines going from the actuator to the n75 let me know how u get on

I put new battery in my vw bora key and to code it had to out key in passenger lock turn to lock and hold it there and press unlock button and should program back in it worked on my bora might work for the tt

Hell to the yeah dude. I was gonna ko4 the auq anyways but I've been chasing s miss fire on it. Super strange with crazy running issues too. But as you say 😏 I'm hoping for 270 ish. Maybe more. Even r tech thought my symptoms were wierd but the valve explained it all......your spike from the turbo could be n75 or weak dv spring. Is it the yellow spring your running? If not put that in and is it the std n75 or a cheap e bay race one bro??

Ive driven a mates 1 series 3.0L and the only positive i can say is the steering response is excellent even if the actual steering is far to light IMO. Got back in my mk1 TT and couldn't stop smiling the interior quality and feel of it for a 18 year old car is far superior to the 1 series.

Stuck in the middle between both of them. If it was a 3 door GTi I'd love it, but then if it was the TT coupe I'd love that more. Don't they both share the same chassis and engine? If it was my money I'd lean towards the TT, there must be a reason it's used in DTM or was. Great vid as always would love to see your thoughts on a abarth punto though or a alfa 147 gt busso come to the dark side.

I had mk4 gti, stage 2 as well. Had to sell because the cost of repairs constantly completely drained me. Moving onto an E46 325Ci next and I’m 20. Sometimes got to take a hit on the power for some RWD skids 😂

N75 Boost pressure solenoid valve Google it mate... I work for VW and mine did the same would go to boost but would then hesitate then go. 👍

Mine also untill I found my inlet manifold temp sensor had a boost leak. Wrapped some PTFE tape around the o ring and that fixed it for now till I replace the oring. Worth a check

@@BarkandBeyond01 I'm in Peterborough mate, go on gumtree, some really nice ones on there for under a grand. Let's face it....on gumtree the asking price is £200 less in most cases so a £900 peach of a GTi can be had for £700 if cash is there in the face and all that. Get on there mate and grab one. Or a MK1 Leon, standard 180hp six speed 1.8t mapped stage two is about 250 crank. Leon can be had for 500 but you will probably have to travel. I've had two Leon cupra 1.8t of there...first one £360 full service 89k on the clock.... second one was in a deal that stood me at £220! Get on there mate...deals to be had.

I had a 2013 GTI 2 door that I loved and then one day my brains left me and I traded in the GTI on a A3 which was nice but every time I saw a GTI I cursed myself so finally I turned in the A3 early and got a Mk7 GTI lease returned and seriously took a financial bath its got the lighting pkg and leather seats and upgraded sound and its a lovely vehicle in the color I wanted and the monthly pa6ments are outrageous and every time I see a 2door GTI I curse myself still because I NEVER NEVER NEVER should have sold the 2013 one. Word od warning. Don’t sell the MK4 Golf. You will regret it.
