Bloody excellent Marcus, very enjoyable watch as per usual. Bradwell Point is simply one of the best or if not the best exhibition layout I’ve seen in a long while.. your scenery is very realistic - right colours of grass and bushes ect. I can’t say anything but it’s bloody amazing! Great to see a unique build of a Nuc Flask Terminal. Keep up the incredible work and look forward to seeing more on Bradwell Point and The Main Layout. - Ben

Nice little layout. Nuclear flasks run past where I live on their way to Sellafield. Usually in the charge of 68s and 88s.

Love the back scene. That is the CAPL line at port Talbot steelworks. At break time I used to spent many hours on the high level balcony looking out at the class 66,s pulling the steel coil carriers.

Iron knob Steelworks yea - I’m local so it made sense to go and create my own back scene !

Enjoyed seeing this layout. I'd have loved to have built something similar. Interestingly I have the PECO Setrack Planbook which features a nuclear flask siding however you could only obtain the flask wagon in kit form back then. They show the crane at the Trawsfynydd railhead and suggest modifying the Ratio kit to suit. However, cranes at other locations could well be different. Good tip about the Portakabins, they do look superb as does the backscene.
@GowertonParkway5 жыл бұрын
Tom Roland I’ve not seen a plan for one in a peco book - would be interesting to see their interpretation. I used to have one of the genesis kits - in fact it was the first kit I ever built !!
@tomroland23155 жыл бұрын
@@GowertonParkway The PECO plans are for a twin loop layout with the siding as a feature rather than the main subject of interest. As a result it doesn't incorporate the detail your layout does.

@@GowertonParkway indeed, i have made an attempt at a low level flask carrier by using bits and pieces such as freightliner containers and tta bases , looks ok with details on now :)

A truley great layout, everything looks so natural, you've acheived just the right blend of colours everywhere. May I ask what brand and colours of matchpots you have used to acheive your concrete colour it looks so naturally weathered and not just grey, which it never is. Good luck in your new career. If you approach it like your modeling I don't really think you need any luck though. ......Graham

Great looking layout, good detail on how you built it in this and the previous video. Well detailed, weathered and sounding locoes. Another great video in your series. x The Bigfella x ps. On this type of flask wagons, are the complete flasks lifted onto road transport, Have you any plans to model unloaded flask wagons and loaded lorry transport. ?
@GowertonParkway5 жыл бұрын
Hi there , so this particular flask point depicts a nuclear flask loading point . Prototypically , the flask containers which sit within the wagon are loaded via a crane onto the lorry . My plan is to model a lorry but I’m struggling to find the correct lorry cab .

Fantastic layout, watched it at the great electric train show and was really impressed. Didn't get a chance to ask any questions though. I love the track plan, it looks very prototypical, do you ever use it as a run round loop or is the siding with the vans in purely a headshunt, also what size is the layout? is the 6ft the total length? Many thanks. Steve
@GowertonParkway5 жыл бұрын
It’s only ever used as a headshunt . There’s no facility to run round . Layout it 9*1.5 ( 6*1.5 scenic)

Great layout, looks brilliant. Most of if not all of the nuclear traffic now is all done by class 68, with the occasional 88. I think 37’s aren’t used at all unless they have no other traction
