Braeburn Track

Driving north out of Murchison, we took a turn down Mangles Valley Road, which lead us towards the Braeburn Track, then onto Lake Rotoroa.
It's a lovely drive, initially through farmland, then native bush and finally down to the Lake. 4WD not essential, but it helped make it comfortable.

Hey thanks for your vids. Having a bit of a binge watch. I'm trying to find some tracks for a camping trip on my Himalayan motorcycle. You've given me some great ideas. Ohh ive got a V50 but I want to go on the bike.😃 Cheers

Love all your videos! I've done many of the same tracks with my kids. Can't beat the south island. Another really good 4wd track is on the blenheim side of the mt Richmond forest park.....you can go right up mt patriarch if your brave enough!

Hey, we were enroute to Golden Bay. Though we have camped at St Arnaud before, but not Lake Rotoroa. St Arnaud is a great place to stay or camp.

So long as it’s been reasonable dry you’ll be fine. If it’s been raining a lot I’d give it a miss.

It was the Porika Track that goes between Lake Rotoroa and Lake Rotoiti. Apparently it’s awesome but a proper 4x4 track. So I’ll wait until I have company or a better vehicle before I attempt that one!
