Wow! Thank you so much, Jack. Braga is absolutely beautiful!!! ❤ My mouth just kept dropping open the more you walked and the more we saw. That is, by far, my favorite city I’ve seen in Portugal. I’m more of a ‘smaller city’ person-interested in less tourists. Also, I have a heart condition and Lisbon, Porto, and Coimbra all seem to have lots of hills. I don’t know if I could do that last, amazing staircase! But I would try, rest, walk, rest. :) Thx again and happy travels!! 🎊

Toured Portugal in March 2024 Braga was for me the most beautiful city

Braga is the biggest city in Portugal outside Porto and Lisbon area, and is the fastest growing city in the north. Is not part of metropolitan Porto, is part of Minho region, a region with nearly 1 milion habitant distributed by a lot of cities like Guimarães, Barcelos, Famalicão, Viana do Castelo etc.. and Braga is the capital and biggest city of this region. Minho is the place of the first portugal kings(The 1º portugal king mothers is suppulted in Braga cathedral), medival castles, simillarities with galicia, and basicly the portuguese culture was born in Minho. Braga was known as Bracara Augusta in Roman times, we have a lot of roman building, some you can visit and others are in work, also there are museums that show this history of the oldest city in portugal. And yeh Sporting Clube the Braga is the 4º biggest club in Portugal even tho we never won a the title, Braga enter in the Champions League because we finished 3º last season haed of Sporting, and to celebrate the club put these decorations around the city. Great video btw, is allways good to see the city with more and more tourists :)
