Originated after an excellent arrangement of my multi-talented student Timothée Methou, this composition, which Johannes Brahms originally wrote for piano solo, gets here a very convincing sounding alternative after being adapted for double bass and piano. The tonal characteristics of the double bass are fully exploited here, also in its low register, which is often neglected in the solo literature.
I am very proud to enrich the solo literature for double bass and piano with this adaptation! Special thanks to Timothée, for being the first on the world who got the idea to arrange this piece. And huge thanks to Miranda, for assisting me during the video production.
