GlamFam This year I have decided to take My Daughter to the salon for the first time to do Her hair for the first week of school and I would like to have a cornrow style done on Her but because Her hair is curly but fine I want to know what best to do to get at least a weeks worth of the style: 1)Like is smaller braids better for keeping it from getting too much hairs coming out all over the place? 2)Or is adding a very tiny amount of synthetic hair to each braid a better option? 3)What about product for hold or should they just be moisturized 4)How often should I braid or rebraid Her hair in general and also are there any tips or specifics styles of braids that are better and less stressful on Children's edges? I have edge paranoia from losing My own and seeing so many People in general nowadays with missing edges.

I would go for smaller braids and add a very small amount of hair, almost an undetectable amount. I like to start mine off with a small bit of either edge control or a very small amount of a dryer consistency alcohol free gel. Make sure the barista aren’t excessively tight, and typically I tell my clients to get 2 heads of braids, then let it rest for 3 days to a week. I don’t trim anyone based on that, I only trim when split ends are present. I trim Alexzandria about every 4-6 months, and so far Zalina has had one trim. The more conditioned the hair is, combined with protective styling, the less need there is for frequent trimming. I have a couple videos on trimming in my haircare tips and advice playlist that will help with identifying split ends 😊👍🏽

My child has loose scalp or extra skin...not sure what the correct term is for it. But getting her parts super straight is a challenge because once i think its straight i let go of another section and the part is over two inches than what i thought. And dont get me started on parting her hair straight down the middle. Lol its ALWAYS a little bit over to the left or right of where the actual middle is. 😵😵

I know exactly what you mean, some scalps are extra pliable that way. I usually loosen how tight I braid on those types of scalps so my braids don’t pull the parts too far one way or the other.

That’s becoming increasingly common these days! Several medications actually can cause that, blood thinners, heart meds, antidepressants, retin-A, accutane, and synthetic hormones can all cause it. So can health conditions like PCOS or thyroid disorders.

This is absolutely beautiful love the style and your daughter as always is adorable I have a question my daughter's hair is nowhere near the length of your daughter's hair what are some ideas that I can do for the puffs

You could do the middle section in twists and then do a twist out on it when they started looking older. I used to do these puffs on her when her hair was shorter, honestly it’s harder now that her hair is Long, so your baby may have a better length for the puffs than Zandri does. You could also do a wash n go in the middle or a pony hawk. 😊👍🏽
