The Scientific jury is not decided on that one. Try emptying a bath - no jets influencing that. I've lived in many houses/hotels etc. and I have always tried to get an emptying bath to spin anticlockwise since I was about 4 years old. It spins briefly (after stirring it in that direction to get it going) - then the plug hole fills totally back in with water and then it ALWAYS resumes it's clockwise spin. In every bath I've ever tried it in. Everytime. All in the same hemisphere though so.....can't say for the other one. I like skate.
