Have you attended any long lecture sessions week after week? The first 10minutes goes fine. The next 10minutes will be bearable. After the 30th minute, you feel like getting up from your chair and take a walk. If we, adults feel so, you can imagine the plight of school children who are supposed to sit in their places every day! The attention span of children is very short. They either get restless or lose focus in the class if they are made to sit without any movements for a long time. The body and mind need a break every 15 minutes to bring back the energy, concentration and focus in children.
