Brainard Lake, Lake Isabelle, Blue Lake. Trail running, hiking, and camping at the Pawnee Campground

Join us for some camping, running and hiking in Colorado's fabulous Indian Peaks mountain range. We camp at the Pawnee Campground at Brainard Lake and run up to Lake Isabelle seeing Long Lake along the way. Then we start a fire, make smores, and run to Blue Lake in the morning. Then check out our secret camp site and hiking trail not too far away. There's a little river dipping in there too.

I am sorry but when I car camp I do not bring back packing meals there loaded with salt and other stuff I would bring snacks for hiking ... And would never run in a beautiful place like that you miss all the sounds and stuff... That just me ..................

Actually the ones I get are not that salty. But good for you. How often do you camp? Disagree with you on missing the sounds of nature. I'm out hiking and running in nature every day and I spend a lot of time enjoying the sounds, smells, feels of nature.

And I am wanting to get back to cooking my own meals at the campground. It's been too long.

@@trailvoices I camp every chance I can get i live near the woods or state land 15.5 acre myself and rest state ..Up state NY.. Have big camp fire every chance I can ... Have water and mountains all around me ...I like to sit and just watch deer and turkey /coyote and other animals go buy my porch ...
