Yeah a different themed interactive segment might keep things interesting. so not just bad advice, maybe reading comments one week, reviews another week, or ask for stories, confessions, hypotheticals, would you rather, maybe a fanart appreciation every now and then as well?

I like the idea of a rotation. So do bad advice every 3 weeks or so, and then have other segments on the off weeks. That means that when you introduce the segments you can be more specific and can have little theme songs. This combined with theming each week would be cool. You should also have a doc with all of the video ideas that you come up with and either spin a wheel or get the audience to pick what you do next. Obviously you could be chaotic and do something completely different, but its another way to involve all of us.

Would also give time both for questions to accumulate and to vet for the best ones comedic potential-wise.

36:59 something that Seán could do for this years Thankmas is make a game around all the add reads and maybe make the guests do some of them since it'll one, be entertaining for the stream and two, you'll get the add reading segment done with. The game could be something as little as just a simple raffle or something more random/unexpected like the guest asks Seán 21 questions for the add read. just an idea and hope yall have a good day.

As your audiance, I am 100% with anything you guys do. Not because I support you 100% or because you'd be perfect, but because you are people. And you should do what you enjoy doing. Because that is where the entertainment value lies. I don't watch them because they'd enjoy doing something I don't like. Yeah, sure, Sean had a break. I missed him, but I could just watch his old videos. Or go watch anything else. Yeah, Ethan doesn't want to return to gaming being the bulk of his content. But you can just listen to him do other things or go watch anything else. And if he feels like putting a game on once in a while I'll watch that. I think older I become (I am basically Sean's age), more open I am to enjoying whatever other people are enjoying - less settled in my ways or better at finding what suits me. And I think next generation is also super supportive in that way. So you guys do what you like, you already have an audience, and support new creators you agree with.

the conversation about getting your childlike side back has me tearing up. I've always been a shy and self conscious person but I've experienced that with having my inner child's soul crushed by people telling me I was immature or looking down on me, and man that sucks so much. I've been so afraid of people disliking me or not fitting in, but I've become so closed off that I don't really like who I am at this point. I wish I had my childish side back, hopefully I can return to that someday :( trauma is a bitch. I feel like I'm forever mourning the person I could have been.

51:40 it's so incredibly healing to hear jack being so understanding and being able to articulate peoples differences so well. I know mark may not have meant it but alot of what he said during the unnus annus stuff just seemed like misunderstanding and being frustrated by ethans adhd traits. As someone whos been isolated almost my whole life for having a different neurology it hurt alot but I tried to understand because this stuff annoys us too and part of me does understand, it just hurts to hear how harshly people feel about things you cannot control and would if you were able to. Just know if you're struggling you are never alone and you don't deserve to go through that. People get caught up in their own life and get frustrated at the slightest inconvenience, its nothing youre doing wrong, I pinky promise.

That Audience Talk part made me reflect a bit on how your behavior can still somehow be 100% "fake" to some people no matter how authentic you try to be, especially after reading some of Dazai Osamu. There's some sort of social standard about unreined passion (for sensible reasons, really). And sure, a lot of entertainers do have varying degrees of fake cheer or learned discipline (including these two) that's required to enthrall the audience, you just gotta let go often when your natural enthusiasm begins seeping out and not care too much. You get more fun out of it. I relate to missing having that childlike wonder as well.

reaccuring bit: create a bit that you would do on various comedy/skit shows (i.e i think you should leave, impractical jokers, who's line is it anyway etc) and pitch and act it out as best as you can to each other and then each of you can have your own live reaction. i dunno how the staying quality would be on this, like i dunno if it may eventually get old, but ethan and sean are both really great at improv and stuff so it was the first thing i thought of

I think the best way I can think of to go about the "Bad Advice" segment is to alternate between questions. Like, start with a serious question and give genuine serious advice (of course, if you're comfortable with it ❤) and then switch to a more lighthearted joke-y question that you can give a less serious answer to. That way genuine advice can be given to people that need it and need validation from people they respect, and then you can have fun and lighten the mood with the joke questions. Of course this is just a suggestion and may sound better to me than it would in reality, but I figured I would offer it up :)

Also, this has definitely occurred to some degree in past advice segments, but I mean doing this in a more "serialized" fashion, I guess? Like much more intentional than just incidental, I suppose is what I mean.

I have a Thankmas fundraising suggestion that I think would do pretty well. Ethan did that spray paint video a while back and it looked like an enjoyable little arts and crafts session for him. I'm going to suggest maybe jumping back into that and auctioning his top-however-many pieces...? Sean could do something similar, maybe get Eveliene in on it?

I think a good recurring segment would be for you to ask a question and the audience give funny answers or find funny/weird news articles (florida man type stuff)

I like bad advice but I think you should do a segment about what has leaked into/out of your brain that week. For example like new things you’ve learned or remembered from childhood.
