For those curious about what happens if the players clear the board, Jeff confirmed this in an interview. He said they had several people clear the board. When this happened they would reshuffle the board and keep playing until they lost but this was cut from the show 2 known incidents where this happened were 1. 230(Emily mentioned it on FaceBook) 2. 325(David mentioned it on his TikTok)

The Knockout Round’s sudden death music is a big source of tension because there’s no telling who will eliminate the other, and only two episodes have used it, compared to the regular “who’s moving on” segment track, “Four Wins,” to determine which four contestants continue to Level 2, those being “Episode 104”’s Carson, Noah, Nick, and Celine and “Episode 132”’s Nathan, Alex, Lily, and Matt. I still find it hard to believe Sam and Camille had the first near-perfect Knockout Round after all these years, too. If I’m wrong about that sudden death track info, please let me know because I found it on the BrainSurge Statistics Wiki.
