Hello, Daniel. Ron in San Diego here. I received the flashing module from Oliver and installed it today in my '14 CTS4. No Brainer. I used heat shrink tubing. As you stated it was pretty easy.

Yes sometimes if there is a real asshole behind me rushing to the red light I was pump them a few times. Just enough to know the lights are flashing.

Just installed this module in my 2017 Cadillac ATS and it worked as advertised. BUT, the installation wasn’t as cut and dry as the video. 1. The “purple” wire in my car looked brown until I peeled back some of the tape. 2. The plug that is in my car that the module needs to be mounted on is “RED” not black and unclipped differently then on the video. 3. Be sure to follow the wires to the Brake light connection for the right wires. There is a 2nd set of wires that go to the rear camera or license plate that looks very similar. Other then that all is good!

You can hook up strobe light modules to any car not just Cadillacs. Very simple to install.

It is a basic piece of electronics, can't say it will work with all cars but it should if you find the right wire. If you connect this to the Cadillac main tail lights there could be issues as those are controlled by the BCM I believe and can be finicky

I solder all my wires for a solid permanent connection, you could never go wrong with it loosing connection. I'll use the butt splices as a last ditch effort if there is no soldering iron in hand.

Wow this video is 3yrs old. Great video. Dan are you having any issues with the trunk staying up when on an incline? Mine won’t stay up …is there anything I can do about that?

Thanks for watching! There’s a gas strut in the trunk on the right side. You need to pull back the carpet a bunch to access it. That goes bad just like the ones on the hood. GM part 23119017. Easy to get at RockAuto.

Hey. Just installed this mod. It seems it no longer turns on the third brake light while unlocking the car. Also noticed it doesn't come on when the car does at night like before. Any tips?

I haven’t noticed either of these things - before or after the install. I’ll have to check next time I’m at my car. If true, I can’t say it’s important to me and would be a side effect of the mod. But good info if anyone else doesn’t want this effect.

@@JetFuelOnly actually ive been looking at a few videos to make sure its not just me but i think the third brake light never turned on at night while unlocking the car. I would think it would? Also when driving or when the car is started at night i would think the third brake light comes on and until you brake it gets brighter when stock but this isn't the case. It actually always remains off and doesn't light up until you brake. I probably just assumed it would. Anyway thanks for the response.

I refused to buy anything off ebay. EVERYTHING I'VE BOUGHT ON EBAY IS CHINESE JUNK. Even something as simple as weatherstripping for my 72 pontiac was terrible. Too small and didn't fit right.

Got mine installed today and I love it! But the sticky pad they send with is garbage. I for the life of me couldn’t get the plastic off it just kept ripping. My wife tried and she couldn’t either. Ended up using 3m doubled sided tape.

Yes you can strobe the brake lights as well. I did that on my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT. You will need 2 strobe modules to do the left and right tailights.

The wires are under tape so hard to follow + there is a section pretty hard to cut .... like a sealer. There is a direct wire to the 3rd brake light but before that joint I don't see it clearly.é

Best bet would be to hit up a salvage yard and find the same plugs on a wrecked vehicle. You can also get the connector and new pins from the dealership.

If you mean the stock incandesce bulb would work with the LED strobe module and the answer is yes it will.

@@JetFuelOnly Yes you can install the strobe modules on the tail lights. You need to wire them into the brake lights not the turn signals or what you call blinkers. You need 2 strobe modules to do each tail light.

Anytime you engage the brakes by stepping on that brake pedal the brake lights will come on and if you installed the strobe light modules they will come on as well.
