You should use gloves when you work. Oil and other chemicals will get into the blood and they protect you from scratches too. A good thing to do is also to check that the caliper moves as they can get stucked and wear out the pads and discs. If your rims get hot when you drive it can be caused by parts that either is stucked or doesn't move as they should. So it's a good idea to check everything that should move when you have the opportunity. Thanks for sharing!

@@tmad273 ha ha! Old school answer!Well, that's up to you to believe. As an advise it's still smarter to use gloves than not. Some can get problems with their skin of regular use and oil contains some chemicals that can be absorbed and cause problem. So if you don't have any problems doesn't mean other won't. So what you do is up to you but you have the wrong attitude to the whole thing. "Frequent and prolonged contact with used engine oil may cause dermatitis and other skin disorders, including skin cancer. Avoid unnecessary contact with used engine oil. Adopt safe systems of work, wear protective clothing which should be cleaned or replaced regularly"
