After the songs were sold for an outrageous amount of money cober/axiom then passed the songs around and gave them to people practically for free, basically to just whoever was asking. It's because what he makes is actual art. Like I'm not just being Corny, he is genuinely special. He is the best at expressing and making people feel what he needs them to feel. He's the greatest artist to date that om aware of, and I'm aware of a lot. Most "artists" these days don't even know what art it, but he does, he even makes a point out of it. He has a whole thing about causing empathetic chain reactions. Some lore shit, but the bottom line being, he's making you feel what he needs you to feel for the story.
