I first saw Kurt on Daniel Cook's show. After all these years, he still skates like a World Champion!

Neither did Michele Kwan, Elvis Stojko, Todd Eldredge, Brian Orser, Midori Ito or Sasha Cohen!

An injury took him out of contention for Olympic metaling. Here's a quote from an interview he did "I had considered turning pro two years earlier, after a back injury relegated I came in sixth place at the 1992 Albertville Games."

He had difficulty with compulsory figures, which are no longer a part of the sport. He excelled as a professional!

Easily the greatest skater, IMO, who never had an Olympic medal of any color. With the exception of Eldredge , the skaters mentioned by Incredible Mann all had Olympic medals.

One of the greatest! He was great technically, but once he started working with Scott Hamilton, his artistry soared. Unfortunately, the men's competition became a jump fest over the years with bigger and bigger jumps. I'll take Kurt (and Scott, Brian, and a few others) over those guys any day. In one Stars on Ice performance, Kurt did an entire program without a jump. It was spectacular. Jumps are nice, but I'd rather see someone jump a few times during a program with footwork and other stuff in between instead of just skating straight lines from jump to jump.

I’ve always wonted to figure skate. We only had roller skating rinks around where I live when I was growing up and I was pretty good. I went skating right before I married and the marriage lasted 12 yrs. I later remarried and had a daughter I started taking her skating when she was 3 the 3 rd time I took her she fell and got mad because she could not skate like me lol. She is now 24 we lost her dad when she was 16 and she tells me now you should have made me go back I told her you can’t make someone do what they don’t won’t to. She loves bed figure skating to and they have a ice rink from thanksgiving till the 2 Nd week of January I think I’m to old but I might try it. LOL. This guy is one of the greatest ice skaters I’ve ever seen. He deserves all the gold triplets they are. Thank you for having the talent to keep us all dreaming. God Bless.

It's never too late to skate. I have a friend in her late 50s and she competes in figure skating in the Adult Division. She just returned from the 2023 U.S. Pacific Coast Adult Sectional Figure Skating Championships in Henderson, Nevada with the following medals: Second place in Adult Bronze Solo Pattern Dance (Solo Cha Cha and Solo Hickory Hoedown) Second place in Adult Bronze Solo Free Dance Fourth place in Adult Bronze Emotional Performance

Kurt Browning never remembers his career with joy. Even here I detect a sense of sadness in his personality. I don't think he ever got over not winning an Olympic gold medal not to mention any color of Olympic medal in '92 and '94.
