Brampton to Caistor St Edmund Roman Road, Norfolk - Lidar Flyover

Virtual Reality snow has fallen in Norfolk.
Leaving the Roman settlement of Brampton we first pass Buxton on our left. Beyond here the road is visible first to left of the modern road and then to its right. Near Frettenham there is a fractional change of direction towards Spixworth Bridge. We pass to the right of Spixworth itself, cross the Northern Distributor Road, where a drainage pond has destroyed part of our road. We then cross Redmayne Playing Fields and head across Sprowston towards Mousehold. The road has survived in part in Mousehold if you know where to look. To get to the River Yare crossing we dog-leg slightly down through Lion Wood. Having crossed the Yare, we follow the appropriately named Boudicca Way to reach Venta Icenorum, the walled capital of the Iceni Tribe at Caistor St Edmund.
