Callling his "girlfriend" his woman is impolite, especially in VN which is so sensitive to relationships between Vietnamese women and foreigners. I experienced that in the late 1960s and middle 1970s.

A lot has changed since Chris shot this video. Lots of upgrades have been added to the house. Most importantly, air conditioning downstairs. At the current exchange rates, I'm only paying $400/month. All the houses across the street are being demolished to make room for 2 more lanes of traffic and a park. The girlfriend is gone.

Location, location and location. The front is ideal for my rental business and it's on a main road. Cheaper houses deeper in the Hems but not suited for a business like mine. I've got a decent place to live and a place for my business at a good price.

I wonder What she is with him for? I not going to judge, if I was his age same situation I would probably do the same, have to see when I get to his age haha. Nice bad probably a little more than what I would want to pay for VT. For me I would want to send any more then $300 at the end of the day it’s VT

What is his plan for healthcare? He's in his 60's so he must have looked into the quality of hospitals around there. A lot of people seem to think it's not that great in Vietnam compared to Thailand, for example, but I have never heard of any firsthand experiences.

The options for health care here in Vung Tau are basically limited to three hospitals and sole practitioners. The 3 main hospitals are Le Loi Hospital, a local government sponsored hospital, Vetsovpetro Hospital, established to serve to the large Russian population and Vietnamese that work for the oil company which is also open to the general population. And then there's the Ba Ria Hospital. In my opinion it's the best of the three, even though it's a 25 minute drive from Vung Tau. Top notch care and services are offered by the FV Hospital in Saigon. It specializes in treating foreigners and richer Vietnamese. Still way cheaper than any hospital in the U.S. Health insurance is available for a cost. Depending on your age. Put aside $10,000, and that will cover just about any medical emergency. For anything really complicated just head back to the States or your home country.
