IMO, it would have been a bad move for Angelina to play the role of Amy Winehouse in a movie. I suspect that she would have declined if offered. She would have easily nailed all of the singing, but she would also have to play the role of a deeply troubled and damaged drug addict. Especially when Angelina is at the relative beginning of her professional career and barely an adult, to have her stumbling and mumbling around on a movie screen as a drug addict seems like bad personal exposure. It would likely give her more exposure in the industry, but it seems like unnecessarily flirting with the very, very dark side of the industry and the destructive nature of people's personal lives would not be a good long-term decision for her.
