Video idea: have you done or considered doing a list of Tolkien or Lord of the Rings inspired names that would sound pretty in a modern day setting? With the new series coming out on Netflix latter this year, it might be an interesting one to cover. Lots of people know the main movie cast, but there are lots of characters and places in books outside the main trilogy that I think might yield some very lovely names.

Yes! I love it, too. It's very wearable and yet sort of rare in the flower-name choices. Marigold is the perfect name for my sweet orange cat. Here in the US, some neighborhood children mishear it as Miracle, a name they are familiar with, so I try to introduce her very clearly.

I think Irit would fit this theme. It's a girl's name meaning "Asphodel flower" in Hebrew. Asphodel, of course, links to Greek Mythology (especially the Underworld), and many literary figures mentioned this flower in their writing (like Homer and Edgar Allen Poe!). The pronunciation is either 'eer-eet' or 'eye-rit'...I'm not quiet sure. Either way, it sounds lovely and is the dark romantic counterpart of Iris, Isla, Ivy etc.

A better name association for the name Azriel: he is a very cool and interesting character from A Court of Thorns and Roses.
