The RadioMaster and Jumper radios with EdgeTX are much more capable. They have models 4 in 1 chips that can fly spektrum, flysky, frsky, and about any other 2.4ghz protocol that anyone at your field would fly. Number of channels really isn't a thing with these radios - whatever the protocol supports, the radio will do.. if the protocol can send 32 channels, the EdgeTX radios can send something on all of them. Programming isn't all that difficult - certainly harder than a spektrum radio, but not too challenging. Price can be as lows $119 for the 4 in 1 radiomaster zorro (gaming controller style controller), $140 for the boxer (full size with small screen) and the TX16s (full size with color touch screen) starts at $200. I personally wouldn't even consider locking myself down to a specific protocol like you would with that Radiolink radio. I can buy whatever reciever is on-sale and bind it to my radio.

I picked up the Radiomaster pocket 4 in 1 for just under $60 then also picked up the nano elrs module as well all in for $100 and I can fly pretty much all of my craft from drones to planes it was a heck of a bargain.

Where the canopy fell was near an aviation aide called a Tetrahedron. Tetrahedrons point towards the opposite direction of the wind blow. For example, a tetrahedron will point to the West when the wind is heading towards the East. On the other hand, a windsock points in the same direction as the wind. A windsock pointing North suggests that the wind is also blowing towards the North. point towards the opposite direction of the wind blow

I love my Tactic radios. I started with RTFs from Tower Hobbies and that was the radio brand that came with them. I moved up to the 8 ch and even snagged the 9 ch during its brief offering. I think Tactic was the 1st to have a wireless trainer function for a buddy box.

Hey Nate, just an FYI on the AMA insurance. Their policy is a supplemental policy only. Your homeowners or auto insurance would need to address any claim first. IF your insurance doesn't cover all of the damage based on your liability limits, THEN AMA kicks in. I'm not saying don't get it, I have it. But it's best to know what your personal policies will and won't do before solely relying on the AMA. Love that Zero, great flight, my friend. 😁👍

Radiomaster is ok if you want to trust your equipment to a bunch of hobbyist and volunteers. That is what you get with open source equipment. I refer to what happened with OpenTX, the support for it just stopped. With Radiolink, you get equipment that is supported by engineers that are employed by the company.

Get yourself a transmitter tray for your new transmitter and you will have so much more control. Especially going fast and low. I found it neccesary to pinch the sticks and use a tray with my P51. Useing a tray has made a world of difference in my precision control. No more holding the transmitter and useing my thumbs only for me. The muscles don't move right that way and it shows.

My Tactic radio has been having issues as well. I'm not sure if I'm getting interference, or if something is going wrong with the transmitter, but at one particular area of the flying field, my Tactic equipped planes start acting like the control was intermittent. If it was happening with my Spektrum radio as well, I'd think I was doing something wrong, but it's only been with the Tactic. I'd already started switching some of my planes over to Spektrum, since Horizon has been phasing out the Tactic line, and this just accelerated the process. Took a peek at the link for the Zero. FMS indicates it's already sold out.

I have a spectrum DX8 version 1.The silver with rubber gri,ps and it's 12years old now and works great.I think spectrum is a little better than futaba,although I used futaba radios for about 20 years and was satisfied.My first radio was a MRC 765 five channel in 1976 and flew gliders with a Cox Sanwa 2 channel radio.

The TX16S is a good radio. I have one. What makes it a good radio system is also its downfall. It is supported and maintained by a bunch of volunteers and hobbyist that don't have any incentive to maintain it. Look what happened to OpenTX. As soon as the interest is EdgeTX goes away, so does the support and update. The Radiolink that Nate is showing in this review is also a good radio, and it is supported by engineers that are employed by the company. All those involved in producing and maintaining this radio have a good incentive to do so.

I was supposed to fly a little over 2-years ago but a most unexpected ischemic cerebral stroke ( on the right-side ) which nearly did-me-in but caused left-side paralysis has prevented me from doing so. If therapy doesn't recover use of my left arm & hand, I may never fly again.

Avoid the Ranger!! It is bad! I’ve had friends buy it and have tons of problems. Notice it’s not on our channel, lol. No one wants to send it to us because we are honest and I certainly don’t want to spend money on it. Hope that helps!! 👍💯🙏⚓️

How are you finding these planes?! Ugh… no on the Beaver, lol. Have you watched our two videos of it? Don’t get me wrong; it’s an okay plane. But it’ll leave an awful taste in your mouth if you are newer to all of this. Horrible assembly experience. Not durable decorative things on it. BAD water plane. But seriously watch our videos on it. We aren’t too hard on it in the videos, but you can still tell there’s not a lot to get excited about. If you want, I can make a recommendation based on your budget/ experience/ location to fly and throw in a personal want (like warbird) 👍⚓️

Hi wow if you think that is awesome. You should get Radio Master Tx16s the 4-1. Not the elrs unless you do drones. Now that is much more awesome. There is no limit on programing. :) And bind about everything and the hall effect is awesome. The basic is all you need. Does much more then a 2k radio. Try it out it isn't hard to program especially there is companion. And firmware is always being update. We have to break apart of other brand who are close source. By the way since Radio Master is opensource company their hardware is opensource and there so much hacking you can do and also parts availability is available. Can you buy parts for a radio for Spektrum. Good luck with that. :)
