Brand New Guerlain Fragrances Neroli Plein Sud & Feve Gourmand

Brand new Guerlain L’art et La Matiere Neroli Plein Sud and Feve Gourmand. These are my first impressions from samples kindly sent to me by ‪@roseandjones8390‬
About me - I'm Claire and I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose so much. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / insense. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery is indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

I LOVE Feve gourmand ❤️ I tried it in the London boutique and oh my ❤️ I’m going to treat myself for Mother’s Day. The performance isn’t great and normally performance is a deciding factor but I don’t care in this instance. It’s too beautiful to not own

Great video Claire, I got a sample of Neroli Plein Sud when I recently purchased Rose Cherie. I love neroli but this perfume did not agree with my skin, after 30 minutes, I could not smell anything 🥹

Strange, yes not for me at all, I get no sweetness and it’s so dry in the drydown (I choose moist every time!).

Ah. . I didn't even realise that the feve word for this one is refereeing to the cocoa bean, that does make sense i guess. Yes, there's definitely less sweetness in comparison, Guerlain added those spices and smoke which gives it that difference maybe. Really enjoyed your thoughts on these, so glad you liked Feve Gourmande. 👍

On my skin Neroli Plein Sud is a really warming fragrance and spicy at times somehow fruity. Strangely I love it on skin but not on clothes after. It has lots of stages on my skin too. Feve Gourmande is such a lovely easy reach and so comforting to wear isn't it😍 It reminds me totally of my little bottle of Gourmand Coquin which is a tiny bit nuttier but could be the age of it❤

Not a big fan either Neroli plein sud. It's OK but just not for me. I didn't really enjoy Gourmand coquin when I smelled it in the old bottles. But I really like Fève gourmande now. So I don't know if my taste changed or if it's really different 😄

That Guerlain wasn't for me either. Neroli is okay as a supporting note for me, but not too strong and soapy like this one. Thanks again for decant Gourmand Cocaine 😂😂 still a great thing to snort up your nose even though it evaporated. Loved finally getting to try it. Definitely thicker and sweeter. Yes, feve gourmand is definitely a lighter cocoa dusting. Still pretty though

I personally didn’t like it, obnoxiously loud and very dry / synthetic woodsy dry down.

Well the Feve Gourmand was was OK, perfectly pleasant wasn't it. Altho it had weird bits on my skin. The Neroli one... Well probably not for me. In every way 🤣. I guess Guerlain is just a cash cow now and what made it great will slowly fade as cheaper and cheaper ingredients are used... Ah modern conglomerate dominated perfumery ey 🙄
