Hey Man. Great vid. Some advice from a 300 rider. Learn to slip the clutch. Don't dump it. Dumping it breaks traction and then you spin. That 300 has more that enough torque, you don't have to ride it on the top end. 300 likes lugging and bottom end tprque. Good riding though😊

Could not have picked a better spot to put that egg on the KTM! KTM has done a great job of somehow tucking in those radiators and keeping them protected. I never run radiator guards or braces on my KTM brand bikes and have never broken a radiator.
@CooperLever-Shaw2 ай бұрын
What trail is this called in Montana?
@onthethrottle71043 ай бұрын
Kincade, you consistently have the bike in too low of a gear up the tough stuff. We always get nervous and want to use that first gear, then crank the throttle...but the new XCW loves 2nd or even 3rd gear for ultimate traction. The trick is to keep the rear from spinning. Even if you look at the Varg, he kept the rear wheel from spinning or barely spinning. Once you get that orientation down you will love the feel of it and be amazed where you can go.
@2Wheels4theW2 ай бұрын
Agreed. It’s as if these guys are convinced shooting rocks out the back at their buddies’ faces at full Rev in 1st gear is the key to climbing up loose rocks. Doesn’t accomplish much. And is a quick way to destroy an otherwise nice trail.

What an adventure! That Stark is like playing a hacked video game. makes it too EZ xD Sweet vid
@angellmarrero8326Ай бұрын
Great video!!! That StarVarg is insane. To me, the main reason is so easy on the Varg is its transmission less design, no clutch play needed, no modulation, easy constant power to the rear wheel. Im saying all this to say, imagine adding a rekluse to your 300, it will behave closer to a Varg. This will be a great video to consider, KTM 300/rekluse vs Star Varg!!!

Also, just wanna say its awesome that you read your comments and respond to your fans. Your cr250 build video is what sparked my interest in mx and ever since then I've been impatiently waiting till I can get my license. I've never actually ridden a motorbike, because the UK has very few mx tracks and very strict laws on where you can ride off-road. Welcome to the Pierer mobility's spoke assembly quality assurance process hahaha Honestly, if that was your first ride on the new wheels... well, I can say that I had EXACTLY the same thing happen to me on a brand new 2020 300 XCW and I picked a 24 TE300 recently and checked the spokes before my even turning a wheel on thing and nearly half of them were loose. I could turn a couple of them by hand on each wheel. Still love the bike!

@KincadePavich3 ай бұрын
Any of the carbed generation KTM 2 strokes are known to be pretty bulletproof from what I know. 2014-2018 300 XC or XC-W (or 250) would be a solid choice! Betas are solid as well!

@OtisFlint3 ай бұрын
The OEM chain on the KTMs is a very good quality O ring chain. My 300 has 40 hours and the chain is like new (required a couple of adjustments in the first 10-15 hrs), the chain on my '23 KX250x has 11 hours, has been adjusted 4x because it stretches every ride, and will be toast before 20 hours.

Dude those are all very different bikes, especially putting an 85 into the equation! How tall are you, how fast are you growing, what’s your riding experience, what kinda riding do you wanna do, etc. if you’re tall enough and gonna be ready for a big bike soon, a 125 is much more nimble than a 250F and is a great learning tool!
