Great job Melissa. I actually lived in the Rio for 8 weeks during the 2023 W.S.O.P. Honestly my room was fine, did it need a face lift? Sure but it was clean and functional. I was so impressed with your video I booked the Rio for next month. I do recall when the Rio was the liveliest casino in Vegas. The best buffet, vibrant costumes, the show in the sky, spectacular. Thanks & keep up the good work!!!!🎰

Appreciate the video. About 5 years ago I stayed in a suite on the Ipanema floors. Price was cheap and the suite reflected that.. Still had a good time there though. Nice to see the renovations especially to those rooms! Thanks for the updates, Love your videos!!

Allright! The rio is making a comeback! I used to manage a Fry's Electronics, was there 14 years and they always sent a bunch of us out to Vegas for CES. They put us up at the Rio most of the time. Good times... great video!

Great review amiga 👏 👌! I have so many good memories of the Rio from back in the day. I loved it. The rooms facing the strip have beautiful views, the Voodoo lounge was a great party spot with great drinks like the Voodoo punch 😁. I hope they bring it back, the views of the strip from the lounge was magical. I remember the buffet 😋, it was soooo good! Maybe I'll give it a try in the future if I can get a comp. I like the renovations...but...I like the design and colors of the old carpet

I like the changes to The Rio. It's good to see that they're still holding their own in Vegas. I agree that long lines is generally a real good sign of good food. Those big chicken tenders looked really good. Back in the day when they still had that Masquerade parade on the ceiling we stayed there 3 or 4 times. It was getting run down but the rooms were big and the buffet was good for that time period. The only thing back then was the food options not being that great which looks very much improved now. The main reason why we changed to the strip was because there used to be only a limited hour shuttle to the strip so you were kind of stuck there most of the time or had to pay for taxi to go back and forth. Was curious if they started a better shuttle service now. Great video comparison with the old and the new. So guess this is where you guys are staying after you just threw us out the window last night, didn't even pull over on the secluded street to dump us. No clams for you (clams, if you know you know..lol).

I loved that parade! So much fun! They didn’t bring back the shuttle service. I think it made sense when Caesar’s owned it because they’d take you to another Caesar’s property. lol on the clams! But no, this was last weekend. We’re somewhere else now! Go check the members tab 😊

Wow, Rio has definitely upgraded the refurbished rooms look great and the new food hall looks like they offer great food to cater everyone's different tastes. Do you remember O'sheas use to be there? There also use to be a burger King there that served alcoholic drinks. Great video overall. Thanks M&E.

The buffet was my main reason why I came here for my first adult Vegas trip in the late 90's. Now they replaced a buffet with...buffet food choices, minus the salads and desserts. 1:23 I honestly feel bad for that lounge chair just strewn about like that. A wine cellar tasting room...not bad. Are there shuttle buses to and from the Strip? That's one negative about Rio. I'm not doing that walk in that area at night. And I hope I get in the middle of a samba line once I enter. Thanks for the review! I’ll be staying in the impanema tower in a couple weeks. How was the AC inside of the room? I’ve seen reviews on it that it doesn’t blow cold air very well. Can I get some feedback on that please?

We have stayed a few times since the rooms were remodeled and never had that issue. AC worked fine in rooms we’ve had. 🤷‍♀️

Those curtains, walling off the areas of construction are no more annoying than the giant blank walls at the newer resort, like Fountaine Blue, where they can't rent out the spaces.

Possible? Yes. Advisable? Questionable. It will prob be a 25-30 min walk and not through any nice areas. If you’re fine with some sketchiness and don’t mind the walk then go for it!

"Food Hall" is just corporate speak for a food court. They make it out to be this "chef inspired" finely curated food and beverage when in reality, it's the same stuff. I wish that people would not be fooled by corporate double speak. All that fried foot is fried in highly dangerous inflammatory industrial seed oils THAT unfortunately takes literally years t o exit the body. Frying in lard literally is much healthier but it also costs the restaurants too much. If you are going to fry, fry it yourself at home in ingredients that you know. Restaurants ALWAYS cut corners on quality but sure charge and arm and a leg for an inferior product. Just look at the people lined up in the food hall, not the picture of health.
