These are great. You mentioned a video to making the coasters but I couldn't tell if you already had it recorded or if you were going to record it? If it's already done, can you include the link? I couldn't find it. Thanks!

The coasters I am speaking about are acrylic cut outs that are cut by a cnc machine. I do have a video I made when I first started making videos (boy minus a lot of camera/video experience lol) So I will be redoing it to make it clearer. As for these coasters, I simply used a black pigment paste with some of my fav rainbow alcohol ink and poured them in the Let's Resin Deep coaster mold about half way. Once cured I added the alcohol ink like here. Thanks for your support! If ya have questions please reach out! Happy to help. Here is the video for the alcohol ink acrylic cutouts already in playlist.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKC4hauFospmfbcsi=3WEC0SmurvNfoET2

I also used this on acrylic cutout coasters made by @artisttilldeath . I would use alcohol base instead of resin to drop ink in create my design then seal it with this gallery series spray let it dry and off gas then add the top layer of resin. My biggest sellers. So many different cutouts and they also do custom ones. They did some Big Foot cutouts special for a customer of mine who wanted some camo color ink designs. Thanks for reaching out and for supporting. If ya give this a try on cured resin, let me know how they turn out. :)

It seems many do. I have never seen it done and I have been doing this with acrylic cutouts. I do love how sealing the inks helps them remain vibrant and brighter with the resin top coat. Thanks for watching. :)

you can make your own colours, by mixing mica powder with 91%Alk, shake well before use, i use these as well as Alk inks, blow around with air gun, seal, resin, been doing this for years.

Hey Catherine, that is a great question and I would think as long as the paint is locked in either by top coat or sealant spray that it would work just fine. If you try it, please come back and let me know how it turned out. Thanks for your support. :)

The krylon spray, do you use matte, satin or gloss?
@KatsSouthernCharms
@KatsSouthernCharms 2 ай бұрын
Hey there Kim. I use the matte and this is what a great artist told me about these sealants. If you are going to put anything over your piece after using spray then use matte so ya don't have two glossy sprays or finishes competing with each other. If the spray is your final coat then use a glossy spray for that extra shine. Thanks for reaching out and if you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out. :)

At what point do you use this technique ? What can you use it on?
@KatsSouthernCharms
@KatsSouthernCharms 3 ай бұрын
You can use this on Coasters, Canvases, completed molds like maybe on wings for dragons or sea horses. However you want to. You just need to have cured resin and add some regular 91%+ alcohol as the base for your alcohol inks not a resin base. Use an air source to move them around and create your design. Once satisfied then I seal with a UV Archival Spray to lock ink colors in so they don't bleed into your resin and remain brighter longer too. Once dry and off gassed from the aerosol can, I pour a top coat that really brings them to life. Hope that answered your question. If not, let me know and I will try again. Thanks for your support and question. Part 2 and final product video just uploaded.

Best way to start is just pull a Nike and “Just Do It”. lol. Coach told me that back in day. You can do it and remember it all gets easier and we get more comfortable the more we do it. I have faith in you. Best tip is gently move inks and just go slow. Pausing is fine because since using alcohol you’re in no time crunch. Let me know how it goes. Excited for you! 🥰
