Thank god for Jesse Lacey and Brand New. I feel better about being the person I am because of them. We're all broken and bruised people just trying to piece it all together. Forever grateful that I got to sing along to all the songs that helped me personally before Brand New called it off. I love you Jesse, you too Vin, and every person that enjoys Brand New. The band will never die, their messages live on forever in my heart.

@@Eeveefall Yeah, by now, they probably know. At least, I know about that. He messed up pretty bad. But, even after doing that, he still saved me in really dark times. He isn't some evil character in a book or something like that. There isn't a reason to frame him as a complete villain that has done nothing but bad things his whole life. He is a human, and a very flawed one, as many others are, but everyone that hurts someone because of their own flaws will end paying for it in some form. Sure as hell he'll pay for those mistakes.

I hope more than anything for the end of Brand New that they release a studio version of this song; if it is not already over. It is perfect. Everything that happened with BN since Science Fiction released has been unbelievable... the highest highs, acclaim, and execution; and a devastating and unexpected low. I hope they haven't given up putting on for us, despite whatever ethical debates still exist. A studio version of this song would be a fitting finale and, given everything that has happened, that is almost impossible to imagine

The Reddit user who did said that it wasn't a band member but the original post let me think that it could definitely be Jesse himself, another band member or someone very close to the band. The lyrics to the song do fit the actual context. And I will never be able to 100% believe that it is really over.

I seen Circa Survive open for MCR. I actually only went to go see Circa but MCR totally rocked the shit and made me a fan. Brand New on the other hand put on the best show i've ever seen. To see the two of them together would have probably turned me into a high school girl

Agreed. My friends and I barely made it into the show on time due to the long line for will call. I have never seen a venue let the line get that long. Ridiculous. Glad Brand New was fantastic. Circa Survive was super energetic and put on a good show.

That show would have been even more awesome had we actually gotten to see Circa Survive too. I'll admit I was primarily there for Brand New, but how does a venue let hundreds of people wait in line whilst 2/3 bands are done playing. Brand New was beautiful nonetheless.

Check out Chris Liepe on KZbin. I always assumed I had a horrible voice until I came across his channel. Everyone can do it, you just need to know how and he breaks it down better than anyone I've come across and I've had many, many failed live vocal lessons in the past.
