I live in Chicago, now I've learned to deal with the potholes actually to avoid them as best as I can but I just can't avoid the rock chips.. I mean it's like almost every day when I'm driving I hear a hit and later I see it on the car somewhere it's getting to a point when I'm going to have to take my car in and get it painted or...whatever, but after that I am either going to get a protective film or wrap the car.. it's a 100% must.. I'll give you guys a call and set up an appointment to bring the car in so you guys can look at it, right in the beginning of spring 👍

I can’t believe that paint on that mustang!! I work at a paint shop in NC and that my friend looks like factory solvent pop. I’ve noticed ford had terrible orange peel and defects from the factory.

How appropriate. Chicago Auto pros using the Chicago Electric DA (aka Harbor Freight). My GT350 had a few paint defects as well. Actually under the stripes when I removed them.

Roughly 40 hours, 3 stage paint correction. No wet sanding, tons of taping from vinyl stripes. 2016 Black Mustang GT. One of my greatest outcomes to date. Family friend, no rush

It's interesting to me to use ceramic coatings on the paint protection films. Can you use them on the paint and then apply the film or will the film not stick. Thanks, like the channel a lot. Hard working shops are great to watch.

I saw in the video that you sometimes used a microfiber sponge for ceramic laying can we do this for all ceramic poses? Allen Saunders do you even know what a wrap is? So easy to do a matte wrap and change the color of the paint for far less money than paint. Plus the paint underneath is protected from everything. Win win in my book

Allen Saunders in my original post it says ppf, which stands for paint protection film. I was also quoted $10k for full coverage xpel stealth which gives the factory paint a matte finish. I’d rather wrap it in a matte color for less than half that, and many wraps are the same mil thickness as ppf such as xpel and 3m so they will give you just as much paint protection. If you’ve seen some of the new wrap finishes they look every bit as good as paint. And if you repaint the vehicle a different color there are many areas you have to do to make it look right, and most places won’t do that. Like door jams and engine Bay Area etc
