I have to let this be known…..In 2009 I was a sophomore in high school. My dad had left and my mom filed for divorce. She had a serious breakdown. Long story short she took off for Florida and I was left in this ancient house in southern Maine. Once winter break hit me and my friends invited the entire school over. Endless stories surround that night. But what I’ll never forget is my buddy Doug pounding this song out while we all sang along. Towards the end my good friend Luke smashed a keystone light over his head in the middle of my room. The entire place went nuts. I’m crying writing this because a lot of these kids are dead now and I’m still here. Of course I got caught the following week after my mom showed back up…. We still had garbage bags of beer cans in the basement. I’ll never take those times for granted. Ever.

In Reno we were also lucky enough to have Jesse perform this song on the last tour, and I do no think that I have ever had a feeling of comforting nostalgia as strong as did singing along to this song with 3000 other people.
