How do you load the cold laminate on there without having it stick to the metal bars between the laminate roll and the red rubber rollers?

That's a great question. I believe the answer is that the cold film is not supposed to stick unless pressure is applied.

I actually figured this out. You have to feed the laminate over the smoothing bar, then separate the backer before it enters the pressure rollers. The challenge is to keep the backer separated as it feeds. This is for the top roller. For the bottom roller I can't think of anything except to keep the table open. I don't think this unit is really appropriate for cold rolling. They make other kinds that are specifically designed for single side lamination that work better. I don't plan to try cold rolling with my unit.
