@@bogney That number is a little low; regular table salt (sodium chloride) has a median lethal dose of about 3g per kg of body weight, which means that 4tbsp can be lethal for someone who weighs 22kg (about 50lbs)…needless to say, a full grown adult still shouldn’t ingest this much salt in one sitting, but it’s quite a bit below the lethal limit for most.

In the Netherlands aka the low lands. We actually use the term: 'peperduur' when something is really expensive, that's because 'peper' (pepper) was very expensive to buy back in the days of the legendary VOC (vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie)(Dutch East India Company) due to the not very high but still high availability and the fact that pepper was expensive and it had to be transported. it still is expensive but way more affordable

Salt is no doubt the best seasoning out of them all, it’s so essential that it’s even in water, yeah, WATER. I mean it’s literally in everything you could possibly think of, pepper is more of a garnish rather than a “seasoning”. I would only use it in specific foods so salt, no doubt wins.
