I think every bullied person needs to listen to this song. My son is 31 now and I can remember each and everything some bully has said and done to him. Bullies aren't born that way, they were raised that way. Every bully that gets caught and punished, their parents should suffer the same punishment. I always taught my boys to stand up for the underdog. Always be willing to give someone a hand up.
@nunyabiznez63812 жыл бұрын
I cried when I went to my bully's funeral. He didn't know how to cope and I was convenient. I didn't know then what his family had been doing to him. He'd been abused in every sickening way by every adult in his family since he was a toddler. In the end, he stood up to the male creature who supplied his DNA. I won't dignify that thing by calling it a man let alone a dad. He stood up to it and told it to leave his little sister alone. The coroner's report said the cause of death was massive trauma and then listed over 200 strokes with a baseball bat. It wasn't until years later that I learned that part. At 13 he took the beating meant for his five year old sister while she ran for miles in the woods in the dead of a cold New England winter night. She was later found half frozen near death. That monster died in prison two years later. Five other adults related ended up in prison. I think the shortest sentence handed out was 20 years. I was 12 at the time of the funeral. None of us knew. He just lashed out at some of the weaker kids. At first there wasn't going to be a funeral. There weren't any adults left in his family that were free by the time the police were done, and his little sister ended up in foster care and eventually adopted. Last I heard she teaches the third grade. One of her students went on to become a cardiologist and another is a Lt. Governor. The town basically got together to give him a funeral. There was only one funeral director in our town and he volunteered his services for free. Some asked about an open casket and the funeral director said that given the state of the remains that was out of the question. What was left of his body was wrapped in pure white silk and laid in a white enameled ash coffin inlaid with gold angels. Four of the town's police officers acted as pallbearers. School was canceled that Friday. Every last student of our middle school and our parents attended and that included those of us he bullied, all of us. When we heard what had been happening to him his whole life, how, and why he died, it would have been unthinkable not to go. Instead of a eulogy, the entire lengthy police report was read by turns by ministers from the town's seven churches. That took the better part of an hour. In the end, we realized that for him, there was nothing to forgive. We were only victims by extension. To the very end, he had always taken the brunt of it. We just didn't know until it was too late. A few weeks later a new emergency children's shelter was dedicated and named in his honor. That was 40 years ago. It's still there. Any child, any time, for any reason, can seek refuge there no questions asked.
