In my pandemic solitude I found Brandi and the twins... I may be late to the party, but my heart recognizes it’s soulmates. Blessings.

I lost the love of my life in the early morning hours before dawn on July 4. He was in the hospital. I said "Goodnight, I'll be back in the morning." But by that time the next day he was gone. Yet I know he will always be with me. We were married almost 55 years. Thank you for this beautiful love song. It makes me cry every time I hear it. We both loved Brandi's music and went to see the band in Richmond, Virginia a few years ago. A talent very rare, indeed.

Thank you for posting this. We heard this closing song last night in Canandaigua. My brother is in hospice with stage 4 liver cancer and this song spoke to my wife and I so beautifully. I’m so happy to be able to listen again and share it with my family.

So sorry George. I do hope it brings you comfort. It might be my favorite song they've written to date.

Crying ugly tears sitting next to my sleeping husband. 26 weeks pregnant, been on a Brandi Carlile binge. I should probably listen to something more upbeat.

When the fire inside that burns so bright begins to grow faded It can be hard to see the ground on which you stand Though you may not be afraid of walking in the darkness You will feel like a stranger in this land You can try to carve a faith out of your own But a broken spirit might dry out the bone And the edges of the night might cause you sorrow You know I may not be around this time tomorrow But I’ll always be with you When the hope that you hold tightly to has all but vanished And there are no words of comfort to be found You will know what it means to be lost and without love May you fight to kill that deafening sound But our holy dreams of yesterday aren’t gone They still haunt us like the ghosts of Babylon And the breaking of the day might bring you sorrow You know I may not be around this time tomorrow But I’ll always be with you I’ll always be with you Oooooh Oooooooooh Oooooh You can try to carve a faith out of your own But a broken spirit might dry out the bone And the edges of the night might cause you sorrow You know I may not be around this time tomorrow But our holy dreams of yesterday aren’t gone They still haunt us like the ghosts of Babylon And the breaking of the day might bring you sorrow You know I may not be around this time tomorrow But I’ll always be with you Yeah, I’ll always be with you I’ll always be with you I’ll always be with you

I was a bit concerned when I saw her new look but then she started singing and all worries faded away. No matter the look, it's the same wonderful Brandi. She just keeps getting better and better.

She could have purple hair or shave her head and I wouldn't care. That voice is magical. She indeed keeps getting better and better.

What’s wrong with her new look? It isn’t much different than she’s always looked. 🤨
@lindsayosterhoff24593 жыл бұрын
I love watching her evolving fashion. Why worry about it? How she looks will never change her skills.
@vjohnson25913 жыл бұрын
@@lindsayosterhoff2459 You and Jessica should lighten up a little (kinda' like Brandi's hair 🤭)I have loved Brandi and her music for well over 10 years. When I lived in Colorado I saw her at Red Rocks. That was when you were either passionate about her or never heard of her. Three summers ago I saw her in Kansas City when her hair was dark brown and waist length. Since then I've seen it straight, curly, long, short, light brown, dark brown. I've seen it all but it doesn't change my opinion that she is the most gifted and absolutely phenomenal singer and songwriter of this generation. So, please be so kind as to allow me a little worry now and then without beating up on me. Did you even bother to read the end of my post? I soon get over it. Peace✌ Edited to say, if you haven't been vaccinated yet, please consider it. 💞

Great song. I know this is a pipedream but wouldn't it be awsome if CSN would get together again and do a cover of this song?
