Good point. It's a little over the top at the beginning. But thx for watching.

I've just bought one of their black wooden 18cm pepper mills, which looks like the one at 0:10. It only arrived today, and so have only had a limited amount of time to play around with it, but so far I'm very impressed with the smoothness of the mechanism. My last pepper mill, though sold on the fact that it had a ceramic grinding mechanism, was let down due to the plastic internal structure supporting that ceramic grinding mechanism, which snapped after a year's use. I'm hoping that the beech wood and steel construction of this pepper mill are going to be far more durable than the failed plastic components within my last pepper mill.

I watched a video that compared the 5 top Pepper Mills, and PEUGEOT, came out second.. the first rated one, THE PEPPER CANNON, was listed at over $249.00 I bought the PEUGEOT for just under $35.00 on Amazon.. It put out a great amount of ground pepper... and has a lifetime Guarantee.. PEUGEOT has been making these Pepper Grinders since 1842.. I'll stick with the proven one...

its all marketing. the pepper cannon isnt worth that much. its severely overpriced to make you believe that its the best. sure its great, but not $249 great. for that amount of money, i expect it to produce its own peppercorns internally without ever having to refill.

America's Test Kitchen rated the Pepper Cannon 8th out of 9 models tested. Figuring which of the 40 unmarked grind settings you're at, let alone changing to the size you want, was an exercise in frustration. As they said, unless you're making cacio e pepe every day, it's overkill.

My beloved Peugeot pepper mill just gave up the ghost after providing over 35 years of faithful service--and my first real bicycle was a Peugeot "10-speed" back in 1971.

2:58 moving heavy pallets around with a manual pallet truck (didn't see a single electric pallet truck in the whole video) 3:01 not very ergonomic to work once you get to the bottom layers Peugeot charges premium, they should invest a little bit in the wellbeing of the workers

I ve had several peugeot pepper mills. But most of them are not very good at grinding. You have to grind grind grind grind, and there is barely pepper coming out. Doesn't matter how you change the size. I expect to pepper a whole steak surface with 3-4 turns. Not like 30-40. The thing is, some do very well their job. So, it's a 50/50 to get a good one.

It is interesting to note that the Peugeot lion has nothing to do with the lion of Belfort, or the heraldic lion of the arms of Franche-Comté region, even though the car factory and statue of the lion are only 20 kms from each other.

Oh punaise, mais quel anglais de daube. En France on est vraiment nul pour les langues 🤣

It's admirable that they speak English at all. Lot of French insist on their own language and frown on English. It's a soft power cultural rivalry. I find French amazing. More English speakers should learn French.

@@richardnemeth5911 Yes you're absolutely right. French is amazing! Alas, if you listen to French people nowaday they include so many English words as they speak or write as if the equivalent French word no longer exist. It hurts my ears! It's a pity! French need to be prouder of their language!!!

I disagree about the quality of this product. The reason I watched this video (and other videos on this product) is because I am stuck with this stupid mill that keeps getting clogged and doesn’t grind anymore. Following the typical cleaning procedure doesn’t fix the issue. I tried to disassemble it to give it a good through clean but there is no easy way of disassembling it. I feel sorry I threw away my cheap plastic salt and pepper grinders thinking that I upgraded to a better product... this Peugeout is not as good as what’s claimed to be. I’m being brutally honest because I’m sick of manufacturers putting lipstick on the pig.
