I came bc its in my recommendations and I'm surprised to see people, fans I assume, commenting things like "don't be discouraged by the low view count" and "I'm sad this song isn't blowing up" like,,, what? I think 1M is still pretty impressive. I know nowadays people tend to forget bc of bigger groups with insane views but 1 MILLION is a big number!! From the looks of it this song is doing great! The thing is that, whether we admit it or not, number of views somehow indicates the estimate number of fans or people interested in a group. The previous albums made so much better than this so fans are inevitably sad special when we all know how hard they worked for it. This comeback is actually grand compare to other comebacks, the outfit, the concept, the mv. And yet it feels like more fans have left. It's hard to explain but fans are worried and I think it's natural to feel that way.

They write the majority of their own music and Salute was written by Daehwi (1:55 guy), each member also wrote 1 b-side song for their Salute EP, and it’s so, so good! Alright so I'm not an AB6IX stan and I know next to nothing about them, I just knew what Woojin looked like, but through this MV I learned 2 things that surprised me: 1. Woojin has a deeeeep voice. I just knew him from cute pictures on Twitter, I was not expecting this 2. I looked at one of the members and out of the blue the back of my mind said his name was Daehwi and after I looked it up, it was?? How did I randomly know that? unpopular opinion: Ab6ix is like the boy version of mamamoo because they are four members aswell and both mamamoo and ab6ix has 4 all rounded idols that can produce dance sing rap choreograph and many more. Plus both idol groups produce diverse songs each comeback.

Check out their Salute EP album :). This song was written by Daehwi (the guy at 1:55) and he also wrote Bloom on their EP. each member contributed/wrote 1 b-side song for their Salute EP though. Heaven and Behind You are two of my favorite songs on that EP because I’m a sucker for sentimental songs. Bloom and Mirror are right behind them, then Salute and Maybe. But they’re all good songs!

I've watched one or two of their MVs before, but this is the first to get me so engaged. It's such a pleasing aesthetic, it was so well filmed, the color palette, the outfits, lighting... everything is on point and visually pleasing. I love it. It goes very well with the vibe of the song.

If you watch the MV closely they use a lot of red and blues and keep contrasting/switching between the two colors. The claw machine is also on a red mat while the fencer is on a blue mat at 2:57. And the only time we see the color purple (red and blue make purple) is at 1:55 right before Daehwi’s rap. This MV has a lot of cool symbolism in it if you keep looking for it. I like watching it over again to notice new things. Edit: so It also just clicked in my brain that they are using a lot of primary colors in the MV too (red, blue, and yellow).
