Brandon my mom and my uncle killed themselves . I find it incredibly important that you told your story and was willing to be vulnerable and show the darker, sometimes humiliating side of depression and mental health . Always loved your videos too sorry you went through that and we need you man ! Stay strong and thanks for your contribution to this world . And most importantly you had the self awareness to know the effect that would have on your loved ones .

interesting interview. just wanted to say that i also was fed up with how brandon was handling himself against sneako and unsubbed temporarily cause his new uploads just made me disappointed. but when he started uploading content again he was right back on the subscriber list. so it's not like everyone that unsubbed back then is gone forever. they're still a lot closer to re-subbing than anyone who never heard of brandon.

I know that you know this, but I am saying it anyway. The FACT is it takes intelligence to recognize your own feelings, and it takes heart and strength to ask for help. At that time suicide seems easier than being lost in the relentless pain, but you chose to be tough and stick it out and get help. To me that is huge and admirable. I had a great, lifelong friend who committed suicide a few months ago. I wish he could have found a way to just let someone know. Thanks for this interview...both of you...thanks. I am not even halfway through it yet, but needed to leave a comment....

The opioid epidemic is an American thing, prescription opioids are not popular throughout the world. I'm from the UK and people in the UK use Afghan heroin not pills, oxycontin prescriptions are very very rare only really used for end of life care / pain maintenance . I Believe it's out of control here because so many people who would probably never try heroin for recreation, get hooked on prescribed pills then make the jump over to heroin / fentanyl as it's cheaper. Why this happens in America I believe the for profit health care system is the root cause and the Cartels have adapted. When you sell pills, you want to sell more pills, when tax payer picks up the bill aka free healthcare putting millions of people on lifetime prescriptions has less incentive.

Dude, this was an incredibly surprising and refreshing watch. I had no idea that you two had such depth of character, initially I had thought that Brandon was this super self-assured and confident guy, he's such a cool and chill guy with so much going for him that learning that he dealt with similar mental health issues to me was really reassuring. Additionally, I didn't expect Tommy to be so self-aware and insightful, and it all contributed to what amounted to an amazingly positive and constructive conversation and podcast, which I think was more genuine, motivating and inspiring than most "self help" shows out there. Thanks to you both for being so open and vulnerable, you humanity really shone through, and I truly hope that you guys find all of the happiness and success that you desire ❤️

John Hopkins University hospital is known as caner costco in my family. My cousin 1st removed got treated there, and if you don't qualify for experimental treatments due to a rare subtype of cancer or other research project they are running there, they will give you minimal care or consideration. They ran her on platinum based chemotherapeutic agents 3 runs, when she had side effects the second, and it is indicated you MUST discontinue if someone shows side effects, ass platinum accumulates in body and causes horrendous injury or death. They ran her a third time and she got an abdominal lesion as a DIRECT result of that, literal medical negligence of an insane order, literally torturing her with pain on top of the cancer as a result. They also said she must not use medical marijuana for the pain when opioids weren't working, including fentanyl. She passed a year after I last saw her and talked about this, with 2 boys 15 and 12. RIP. Did her beyond dirty I'm fuming still, rot in hell everyone that fucked her over and made her last year miserable.

I am 57 and was raised in such a way where if I misbehaved, there were consequences ten times beyond whatever dumb ass kid thing it was I was doing. I am a really talented carpenter, but work in Commercial construction to maintain health insurance. I build and renovate schools, have friends that are teachers, and see today's youth. They are our future, but not in a positive way. So grateful I do not have kids of my own to worry about. When I go, that's it for my time in this fucked up World. Late last year i called my dad and told him i was Suicidal and to take me to the hospital. They booked me involuntary because my dad drove me; which Tripped me out. I didn't show tall tale signs so they 52-50d me for extra analysis. Its really sad to say but growing up completely neglected, made me appreciate the 3 meals a day and smoke breaks. I sadly felt cared for which is scary looking back on. I met a couple chill folks but my first night roommate passed from fent withdrawal, and my second roommate was an old homeless guy with a Swastika pn his leg. Interesting 12 days i had at Aurora. 😂 but the On Demand in the main room was ight. My first time watching Fight Club was in there 😂 💀.

Brandon, as someone who understands what if feels like to be in that dark place, I’ve been on depression meds for years and have had severe depression stemming from things that happened and I saw as a child. I can tell you it is not humiliating to admit you’ve felt that way. It’s what’s wrong w the stigma of being a “man” these days. Aren’t allowed to show emotion blaze bs.. I recently recovered from a 7-8 year binge of opiates (just turned 30) from tabs to oxy fent and heroin. And before that years of alcohol abuse. And now finally being substance free, I can tell you that you handled that situation very well, and it’s important to talk about things like this as coming from me it’s meaningless but from you people listen. You have a platform. A lot of people love your stuff man; I included. I don’t wanna be that random weird dude commenting on everything you do, but I’m compelled to when it’s interesting to me. And it sounds hella corny but for that little bit of time 15-30 mins of watching your videos I escape all the bullshit in my life, I forget about bills or how I’m going to pull this off, if I’m gonna get that job; if I’m ever gonna finish school; make my family proud of me etc. it brings enjoyment to my day as it does many others so keep ya head up. I know this has been a min since you were in that place but don’t corner that part of your story/life away bc you’re afraid of how it’ll be perceived by these red pill brain dead idiots

when Brandon was talking about the psych ward that's exactly how it is. I've been there involuntarily twice and they treat you like garbage, don't give you any real help and threaten to keep you there indefinitely. the first time I was suicidal and got sent there by my mom and the second time I was hallucinating from benzo withdrawal. the psych ward is a horrible place and it's a good reminder that there's really no place for you if you're suicidal. the government wants you to just shut up and do it. it's completely disgusting.

You don't have to like emma chamberlain but her videos are successful for a reason. She has cultivated a style of video where her personality does the brunt of the heavy lifting. Her videos have good vibes, which is something you can really only achieve by being highly attuned to social cues. It's a skill she has mastered and you shouldn't discount it because it's not something you personally relate to or deem as "hard work".
