Sounds like my dad, I didn't know him until I was 6 and he didn't know about me due to my mom he was fighting in the war then had to fight for me for custody then he died at 55 pof cancer from his roofing company he was on site every day. Other than his flag he's birth and death certificate I don't know nothing about where or what he did serving, it still eats me up inside not knowing mom hid a lot and hates me still to this day so I can't get any information on my dad's service in the army.
