It's inspired in Bronski Beat's Small-town boy, a gay anthem. I've always thought Brandon was gay with songs like Somebody told me and Andy you're a star, but then he changed and became straight with his religion: only the young and this song are the ''after that change''. I love how deep he is.... even if I'm wrong, i love him.. he has the best lyrics.
