No quibble with any position you stated - however, I think you need to do some more research on Ukraine - it's not as simple as Putin just decided to invade in February last year - there's at least several decades of water under the bridge, all the way back to and including WWII - that puts on more context onto why that war occurred.

Every politician represents some people. But nobody can represent all of the people. Especially in the US in the year of 2023 that is more than impossible. That's why calling someone "a real representative of the people" is such an empty take. Boring, biased, and factually untrue as well, but mostly just bland and meaningless.

I'm sure that supporters of Brandon don't agree with every single one of his beliefs or ideals, however, all of us can agree on a moral standard and abiding by the Constitution, which is the foundation upon which this great country became prosperous. My point is only "boring" if you lack the drive to perform critical thought and break down the meaning of a representative of the people in an objective way. Forget about Republican and Democrat. Objectively, each member of both parties have a lot in common when looking at how our country, state, city, and community should operate day to day. We all want security, prosperity, and a choice of how we live our individual lives in happiness. Brandon embodies this concept with the words, "I fucking hate the government". The more control the government has, the less freedom the people have.

Some may be willing to give up the time and money, and simply lack the confidence in public speaking, or just afraid of confrontation/debate. I agree for every single thing BESIDES his take on ukraine. i understand most people do not have the inclination to look into the history of countries that we become hostile with, or whom we support. but after billions of dollars in aid and possible ww3 it is honestly irresponsible not to. I did so and learned : 1) russia was promised in the 90s we would not expand NATO "an inch to the east" and since then we have expanded several countries worth of territory. (NATO was created to counter the soviet union, USSR collapses and we still kept nato around, but made deals with russia, non-expansion being one of them) 2) russia asked to join NATO and we said no. 3) russia is a nationalist, majority christian country, directly opposed to the gender studies progressive woke nonsense our country shoves down our throats and wants to shove down throats across the world. these three things among many others make it abundantly clear to russia that we are and want to be a threat to them. russia invading ukraine, for the most part, was to avoid having NATO weapon systems on the border between russia and ukraine that could reach moscow, which would definitely have happened had ukraine joined NATO. russia happens to fit the bill for the exact group of people they hate the most here at home, patriotic white christian non-progressive people, yeah they will be a target for the american globalist libtard empire, and the masses will be carpet bombed with propaganda to convince them russia is the bad guy, when in reality we provoked the invasion of ukraine by doing the things (and more) that i stated above. if anybody wants a comprehensive, uncensored place to start researching this, check out John Doyle's video here on youtube about russia/ukraine.

On the issue of red flag laws, I'd add yet another issue with them, which is that it dissuades people who may really need help from seeking it out. I've never had the desire to harm anyone, but I've felt pretty down in the dumps before, to put it mildly, and the reason I didn't reach out to family or a therapist is just the threat of a violation of my natural rights as well as the trust I have in people in general. Fortunately I'm doing better these days, but there have almost certainly been people like me who weren't so lucky who could have been helped.

I glad you're doing better. You hit the nail on the head. One of the people you *should* be completely honest with is your therapist, but I'd hesitate if they followed up you saying "I haven't been feeling myself lately" with "are there any guns in your home". Or hell, authorities show up to the house for search and confiscation (whether they actually know if there are guns or not) whenever someone seeks help, because a therapist flags them. That's way down the slippery slope, but on the slope nonetheless.

I'm glad you're taking a stance on the red flag laws. They are a slippery slope and a major violation of our constitutional rights. To take someone's liberties away without a crime being committed is just flat out unconstitutional and really sets a bad precedent. Furthermore, the law gets abused because it puts judges in a position where they just want to cover their asses for something that hasn't even transpired.

Loved your answer on the abortion question. Ignoring the Constitution when it suits you gives those you disagree with the opportunity to do the same until there is no Constitution. Freedom means a lot of things you don't like will be allowed.

The constitutional argument for preventing abortion at a federal level is the same argument for preventing the murder of anyone. The right to life and the protection of the innocent. I am all for federalism and upholding the constitution and limiting government, but this issue seems to fall under the already defined rights that the government should protect and uphold

I think conception is when rights are given (whether you think god given or natural), but not everyone agrees and there is no legal answer. If it's conception then yes, abortion falls under murder, if it's some later date then there's a period where it isn't murder. Because of that, I say it needs to be left to the States.

I know what you mean but I get why someone would say that. It isn’t that the person necessarily has no positive opinion of the values it states, but the fact is the constitution is paper. Democrats have been willing to deliberately violate it over and over again. So someone may want the values written in the constitution but understand the constitution can only protect people if people are willing to follow it, and we have an entire political side willing to just trounce over it.

The constitution exists for specific set reasons in its preamble and if it fails to uphold these it has failed as a document. It doesn't help that the amount of aid and what it consists of is being widely misrepresented. Stockpiles of mostly obsolete gear meant for decommissioning to rot in warehouses isn't actually billions of dollars in value, it's upkeep drain for years to come. US is withdrawing from direct participation in foreign conflicts and won't be using it anyway. Might as well do some good and help people protect themselves from subjugation.

Only reason I was against the aid isn't because I hate Ukraine, it is because after seeing Afghanistan (I'm only 26) I realized that they don't have their own citizens in mind and every time they give to other countries they take from us in taxes instead of using it to benefit us. Honestly I'd rather the US leave NATO and support Ukraine or Israel since at least those countries are putting it to some use unlike the UK and the rest of the EU who don't need to spend crap on military spending compared to the US so all their money goes to improving their lives although they are still pretty corrupt over there but not sure if they top US politicians 😂
