My husband is deployed in the Middle East. He’s half way through his deployment, but he has struggled with infidelity over the past 2 years. I’ve been crying out to Jesus to transform him into the man our children and I need; a man of God. Many days I worry for his safety but also worry his choices will end our marriage. “Don’t lose your hope, don’t lose your faith - that’s where your fight is.” Has been ringing in my mind. My girls and I listen to this song nearly everywhere we go in the car. It’s such a needed reminder. Pray my husband stays strong in the Lord, pray for his heart. I feel like @brandonlake wrote this song just for me! I needed this song 20 years ago as an unbelieving teenager deep in the pits of depression. I attempted to fully give up and even crossed over to the other side. The angels told me "it isn't your time, you need to go back" but I didn't want to go back. They showed me a vision of the plans God had in store for me. A loving husband, and two beautiful children living life together on a farm. Sure enough that is our current life. I'm so thankful the Lord saved me that night. I will never give up on the Lord. I pray whoever reads this testimony, this will reach your heart. Do not give up. I, too , have had a loss recently and questioned why the Lord did not heal and restore. The struggle is real. But God will come through for us. I heard this song in my car while driving home from the hospital after sitting with my husband who was on a ventilator for 6 days and as was driving home with tears and fear and was just about to give up on him this song came on the radio on the Christian channel which I usually don’t have on. I swore then I wouldn’t give up on him and the next day he came off the ventilator and was doing ok. I’m grateful for that song that cold dreary night as I drove home alone. Yesterday, I realized that I have all these things I like to do, but have been so busy trying to bring change, that I stopped doing what I enjoy. I found, yesterday, that I had lost some passion. Yesterday . . . I found myself in a ditch, that I began right away to search how to get out of that ditch. I pray and trust God, but somehow, I just felt so lost yesterday, I have been asking God for specific direction and have found that I have only seen just the path in front of me - a step at a time - FOREVER it seems. So, I was distraught yesterday. Prayed throughout the day, still studying and finding gems with the Holy Spirit. Still holding on, but felt my grasp loosening. When I woke up this morning, not much had changed . . .even though I had been doing everything "right". This morning, a good childhood friend called me. She encouraged me; has been praying and will continue to pray - that really helps. Right after she said goodby, a song began to play on my phone. I didn't even have any app turned on to play music! The song just begins to play. Your song BRANDON, the song I had never heard before . . . The first words crush me and bring me into God's presence. The words, "DONT YOU GIVE UP ON ME". I hear a ding on my phone and through my tears I see a banner with words that show, "Dont you give up on me". The words are perfect!! Just to know that God is doing all he can to reach out to me and let me know he is hearing me!! Brandon, THANK YOU for writing and singing that song with our Abba. It is now, my new song with God, and we sing it together. I sing to him, "I will never give up on you".

When I was about 7 I had my first suicidal thought. Life was really rough, and I thought that if I grabbed a butter knife from the kitchen upstairs (I wasn't old enough yet to use the kitchen knives. I didn't want to disobey my parents; I only wanted to end this pain I felt at the moment.) I could end it quickly and feel better. I think God intervened at this point and put it in my mind that I didn't want to cause pain to the people I loved by destroying myself. Later, life was still bad and I started engaging in self-harm. I would take my fingernails and scratch myself down the insides of my wrists. It always disappeared in less than a half hour, so I continued to do that when I was mad at myself. I knew it wasn't the best thing to do, I think, even at a young age, but it made me feel better. God kept convicting me of it, so I promised I would stop, and only later did I discover that there was a verse against self harm in the Bible. In my Junior year, I began to have depressive episodes. My suicidal thoughts returned stronger than they had been before, but then I heard this song. Just before my worst bout of destructive thoughts, I wrote an approximation of the line, "When the night's at it's darkest, that's when the light hits the hardest," in my journal. I was so, so close to destroying myself, a temple of the God of the Universe, but the whole time there was a little whisper in my spirit that I shouldn't take that path. So, I didn't. The other day, the sunlight was so beautiful. I was so grateful to God that He was right there, and that He decided that the world still needed one of me. All glory goes to Him who provides. All glory to God!

This song poped up on me when I failed my second year in medical school..I almost Lost my sponsorship.I was almost excluded. I didn't know what to do , what was next? I lost hope I felt so much pain, I could cry all day, the only thing that was making me smile was my little nephew I was babysitting..I kept asking God , Why? Because I prayed I put in the work despite opposition. Did I hear him wrong or did he just leave me? .... But I am grateful, this song sounds like God's voice everytime I hear it.. Dear Christopher, I got COVID last November and developed long-COVID. I’ve been sick since then with fatigue, headaches, I’ve lost my sense of smell and taste, lost weight, lost so much hair. I’ve only left the house four or five times since I got so ill. The depression is debilitating and destroying my relationship with my husband. I pray every day for the Lord to show me some kind of breakthrough in my thinking. I love the Lord so much and I’m grateful for my life, but this is no way to live. I just wanted you to know you are not alone. I understand exactly how you feel. I’m being treated by doctors that don’t even understand this virus. Only the Lord can bring relief in this dark time and see inside our hearts. Jesus is our one true friend. Music has been my only pleasure. Listening to Brandon and Maverick City every day brings me messages of hope in their lyrics but also in their obvious love for the Lord and dedication to spreading Jesus’s story. The Holy Spirit moves through them when they rejoice and worship with their music. If you haven’t listened to Maverick City, please do. If you’re a fan of Brandon’s then you should know he is an original band member. Their music is so uplifting and healing to the soul. This song is brand new to me since Brandon just released this solo album. Brandon, I am a almost 70 year old grandmother, who lost my grandson to a car wreck last year, it was so unexpected, I have to confess I got a little upset with the Lord. Your song has ministered to my heart. Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit and then putting it to words, then song..I have played it numerous times and every time there is encouragement..
