You're thinking of the Uncanny Valley, mate. It's a category of things that cause a certain psychological response, a feeling of being creeped out that comes from seeing something that looks so familiar, so close to human, but there is something just off enough about it that your brain doesn't know whether or not to interpret it as different than human and therefore, as a potential threat. The word uncanny is just used to describe something that has a resemblance to something else that is so close, you almost can't tell a difference from whatever that thing looks like. Like someone saying a child has an uncanny resemblance to their parent, for instance. It generally means they look almost exactly alike. I was actually at work in the hospital when I saw this. I was having such a busy/bad day that I didn't have time to take a break. It was time to take patients vital signs and when I came into one of my patients rooms she was looking at the news about the gas rising up. Boy when I looked up at the TV I was taken back to see Brandon on TV. What made it even better is that the patient who I was taking vitals also knew Brandon as well, and boy me and the patient becomes fan Girls in that room. I was having such a bad day, but that news made my day and I also made a friend. Thank you Brandon you're my hero. 🦸
