This sounds to me like a classic example of when a person has succeeded in Hollywood to early and ends up having pitfalls in life because they haven't found themselves yet. Hollywood is not a game for young people and not just young in age but young minded. If you haven't found who you are as a person and are not grounded in your personal life with the right people around you Hollywood will leave you jaded and searching for light. When you have early success without having the years in the game or just in life in general dealing with pitfalls and situations that didn't have the outcome you intended it makes you think its always going to be this easy. You start to smell yourself so to speak. Then when those pitfalls come you don't know how to handle it. You can have all the talent in the world but there is a formula to success, and that formula isn't the same for everyone. It's like the old saying youth is wasted on the young. It seems to me that he has found religion and peace in his life. But I do hear a bit of bitterness in his speech. He tries to hide it but it's there.

@@straitchasin1008 No, what I'm trying to say is jacked up stuff happens in business just as it does in Hollywood. If you go far enough up the ladder in business you will deal with a lot of the same pitfalls as you do in Hollywood. But I never said it was fair. I have had to fall on my sword more than once in business but I have no regrets. I have seen things in business that have made me sick. But I had good people around me to hip me to the game and see me through. If you don't like the game you have two options: 1. you change the game. or 2. you play by your own rules and deal with the outcome. But at no time do you start to believe that the game is fair. In the real world, the smartest guys don't make the most money and the most talented don't get all the jobs. Hollywood is a business bro. If you don't have the right mindset and background it will eat you alive.
@notatechguy1209
@notatechguy1209 4 жыл бұрын
@@straitchasin1008 Just search KZbin and listen to how Jason Weaver talks about the game compared to how Brandon sounds here, totally different. The difference is Jason had a mother in the business that was hip to the game. Jason is a grounded dude and understands the game. You think he didn't miss out on roles or didn't get callbacks. Jason hasn't become bitter to the business.

@BrotherMalMusic
@BrotherMalMusic 4 жыл бұрын
I mean of course Eddie can just say that, but how plausible is that if the show was already in the works? So you think he didn't already know that he didn't want a recurring role when he was already preparing to do the show?
@AvoidTIMtation
@AvoidTIMtation 4 жыл бұрын
@@BrotherMalMusic they only did the pilot its not like they filmed a whole season. CBS didn't want a Beverly Hills Cop show without Axel being in it a lot so they dropped it. No disrepect to Jackson but Let's be real once people found out Eddie wasn't gonna be on every week nobody was gonna watch.
@BrotherMalMusic
@BrotherMalMusic 4 жыл бұрын
AvoidTIMtation I wasn't debating any of that, all I'm saying is if it were as simple as Eddie deciding he didn't want to do a recurring role, I think he would have known that before agreeing to the show already.
@BrotherMalMusic
@BrotherMalMusic 4 жыл бұрын
What I'm saying is that would be like Will agreeing to a _Fresh Prince_ reboot and doing a pilot, but then the show is scratched and supposedly the reasoning is _"Yeah, I just didn't wanna do a recurring role."_ The whole point in the first place is that it's a recurring role. So if you knew that, then you probably won't do a whole pilot knowing you don't wanna do a recurring role. My main point is that particular reasoning doesn't really make sense.
@Shade23753
@Shade23753 4 жыл бұрын
@@AvoidTIMtation WRONG. When you do a pilot you are contracted FOR 5 YEARS in the case of Brandon and every other non series regular role or any "recurring role" for the first season IS ALSO CONTRACTED AT THE TIME OF INITIATING THE PILOT. Brandon said Eddie had already agreed to do 6 episodes in the first season,, which would have launched the show nicely. I've had many dealings with Les Moonves. He is an unprincipled POS. It's just as plausible that he had a beef with an EP or one of his lovers didn't like the show. These people are moved like that. Rupert Murdoch once canceled a show called "TV GUYS" after all of the execs at the network voted it their favorite pilot of the season, because his wife who didn't grow up in the U.S , didn't understand the childhood star references. The show was about two former child stars one black, kind of like (Gary Coleman) and the white kid who played his adopted brother on that show. He put people out of work because of his stupid wife. Jack Black and Danny Bonaduce were also on the show , it starred Keith Diamond who was nominated for Best Picture with Robert Deniro and Robin Williams in Awakenings.

@@LurnWell Naw it's a lot deeper than that man. He understands the demon filled cesspool that Hollywood is. Which is why he keeps talking about God. I'm sure playing someone's son has an occult or esoteric meaning to them. And he doesn't want that role or to climb up their ranks. He just can't say too much. Just like Freemasons do mock resurrection rituals. Well who are they attempting to mock? The SON of God.
@LurnWell
@LurnWell 3 жыл бұрын
@@nunyabusiness5819 Which will only lead to more confusion. If you feel your talents are a blessing from God, but also realize that your talent is created for an industry, you have to make a decision. You can't attach God to mammon, if that's the case. If success is the goal, you are already involved in the industry...Whether through Eddie, or his own. It's the same industry. I don't know why you mention Freemasonry, because moving up in the ranks is something all schools require. Him being the son of Eddie being translated as being the son of God through mockery is just reaching...He's an actor, and the film has a script. You can't pick what's good or evil according to your comfort zone. He's in the acting business.

@@LurnWell Can't attach God to mammon. Brilliant quote and true. I wasn't saying him being Eddie's son is symbolic of him being the son of God. I was saying it's symbolic of SOMETHING what that something is idk. The freemason reference was just an example to show that they use plays on the son/sun theme all the time. And sometimes one doesn't realize you can't serve two masters, until you try to. Sounds to me like he tried to. Which is why he keeps talking about God.
