I first met Juggalos as an embedded journalist at Occupy Berkeley and, while they seem crazy, they were the kindest and caring people I ever met. Some hipster "anarchist" guy tried to run up on me while I was doing an interview and three Juggalo homies pounced on him. When the fake-anarchists raided the camp and tried to retaliate later that week, a couple Juggalos protected my tent and equipment because I always talked to them with compassion and curiosity (Why Faygo? What was the root of the Eminem beef? What is the Dark Carnival?), shared my weed with them and never snitched on them to the boomer-hippies who tried to control the camp.
@nickschiller10807 ай бұрын
Faygo is Pop from here in Detroit and is awesome and has so many flavors. Eminem looked up to ICP and they were already pretty big doing their thing and Eminem was just getting started out he put ICPs name on his flyer saying they might appear when he did it without their opinion, he went out to Violent J and showed him the flyer and J said why you put our name on here without permission and tossed it in the air and walked away. The Dark Carnival is what any Juggalo may perceive the Dark Carnival to be, it's different for many.

This is why, even though it's not been my scene in well over a decade, I'll always have a spot in my heart for juggalos. Juggalos. The most ride-or-die friends I have? Juggalos. It's just a level of loyalty and heart that I've never seen from any other fanbase, and most of the time it doesn't have shit to do with the music, it's just mostly normal folks looking out for each other and having fun doing it. My girlfriend and I took a huge chance and flew all the way from Alaska to be there, and to help overcome our nerves, we found your previous gathering videos and watched the heck out of them. ICP played two nights and at the first set, I had VIP… just before the Faygo Armageddon, I asked my girlfriend to marry me and she said yes! She was a casual ICP fan going there but she is now full-blown juggalo. We both have hatchet man tattoos now. We met some absolutely incredible people and had pretty much the greatest experience of our lives. We looked EVERYWHERE for you but couldn’t freakin find you!!! We decided at the airport that we are going back in 2024 and it doesn’t matter what it takes to get there, we are doing it again and I’m hoping to bring a bunch of other Alaskans with me!! I'm not a juggalo nor have i listened to the genre of music that usually goes with it, but I can genuinely appreciate the love and brotherhood (and sisterhood) tat seems to be attached to all of this. In most festivals or band festivals or events, they all claim to have that kinship but it usually comes down to the bottom line and money. But i think it's quite apparent just from the large amount of videos i've seen, that regardless what kind of money is being pulled in by this event, the love and respect between the fans is genuine, much more than anything I've witnessed. *Just to give a little info, I've been obsessively following my love for music and live shows for a little under 30 years now. i've been to everything from basement shows, bars, theaters, arenas and festivals. It's my thing you can ay, lol. But my point of writing this is that I think no matter what anyone says about the Juggalo fan base, the gathering and anything else connecting to it, you guys have a genuine thing going on here, something not many people can really claim, at least no to the depth that you guys do. I don't think my life will be complete show wise if i don't at some time attend a gathering festival.

I'd have to disagree considering he has a very successful channel. He is highly rated, not underrated lol. If he was underrated he'd still have like 5,000 subscribers while still putting out great content.

🙏 Rest in peace Donovan, I'm happy you were able to experience the Gathering for yourself. Brandon, you are an amazing human being for doing this for him. If more people in this world cared it would turn around quickly. And welcome to the family officially from what I watched. Whoop Whoop!!!!!

You're really amazing for spreading happiness like that. Many people would've just gone to the festival and filmed a vlog by themselves, but you took the time to make someone's life better. I appreciate the time you put into making this, and look forward to future videos!

Just wholesome you did this for the guy. It's things like that, experiences people share, that's what life is really all about. I am happy you were able to do this with him in the time you were given, it probably truly was a life changing, positive experience for the guy.

I can see why Don was a good friend of yours. What a beautiful + hilarious soul. Idk if I've ever saw somebody who in 20 minutes made me sad that I never got to know them or have them in my life. He clearly was a gift to the world ❤ & An authentic desire to truly connect with and listen to all people from all walks of life with such respect openness, compassion and understanding is such a rarity. You're great at what you do Brandon + somehow make me grow in those same qualities with every video, even vids of 4 days of hedonism + partying 😂 Idk how you do it, but keep up the good work.

Donovan's words on control at the end hits deep. I remember when i finally hit adulthood and realized my parents were flying by the seat of their pants. Yet, as a kid, you felt so secure. There's no right way to live. You just gotta do it to the fullest, spread love/light and positivity, and try to forge a path with as much passion as possible. Rest In Paradise my dude. whoop whoop. ❤
