I got my iPad mini 7 for Christmas, I love it it’s the perfect size for an iPad, I hope they eventually update the screen we need an oled panel and some fun colors but overall it’s an actual iPad that works as one, it feels premium and reliable and I do enjoy using it

Been toying with getting the iPad Pro not gonna lie despite people telling me it's "the biggest waste of money they've ever heard of," but it seems like with the exception of my iPhone 16 Pro Max, every Apple product I look into buying always gets a refresh of some kind; still salty about getting my M1 Pro MBP only to see the M2 Lineup drop not even a month after ☠️. I also remember getting the Watch Ultra 2 just days before the Apple v. Masimo controversy prompted Apple to stop production. Wonder how much those watches would go for now? 🤔

Funny similarities -- I also went with the Watch 10 and love it. For the first time I didn't go iPhone Pro Max and just did the Pro and like the size better. Seems like I am trending to smaller and lighter since the have the same performance. I really want the M4 MacBook 14 but can't justify over my fully spec'd m2 16"

The 16gb of memory as base thing didn’t happen until the M4 Macs were released and they moved the Airs to 16gb as well for Apple Intelligence.

However, it’s still not a replacement for my MacBook Pro, as I’m a heavy Excel user and need the ability to have several windows side by side with all the features. Unfortunately, the iPad version just isn’t cutting it for me.

My favorites were the base iPhone 16 and Mac Mini M4; I’m happy with my current iPhone 13 Mini and M1 MacBook Air but those two releases this year almost got me to upgrade.

At some point, I got confused about how you decide what to use and when. For example, with MacBook Pros: “Most of the time, I use the base model, but if I’m traveling, I’ll take the M4 Pro.” Do travels somehow add extra workload compared to how you work at home? And another point about “keeping the Mac Mini as a prop, replacing the one behind me.” Why? Thanks for the video.

Yes. If I'm traveling for leisure, I bring the MBA but if it's for work, I bring the MBP. And I keep the Mac mini as a prop because it looks cool in the background of my videos - an area I invest in every year!

I would have to generally agree with your tops for the year and though I didn't personally buy most of these products, I did get the Airpods 4, the iPhone 16 Pro, the MBA M3, and the AWU in black and I love all of them. If I had to pick my favorite from that list it might be the AWU2 black. No difference from my AWU2 in natural titanium except that it looks so bad a** in that black color. I thought about the Series 10 but I've always had issues with the screen scratching with the Series watches.

3:00 i believe the macbook air M3 initially came out with 8GB ram on the base model until the addition of the M4 mac products in october, only THEN was the base upgraded to 16GB ram.

I really like the series 10 Apple Watch too, but I wish it would get the blood oxygen sensor back. I would use it for sleep tracking if it had that sensor, but since it doesn’t, I still use my ultra for sleep tracking. I also wish it had the night mode watch faces like the ultra.

I"ll agree that Apple Vision Pro is the most innovative product for this year, even though I am not considering buying one. After that, Apple Intelligence, even though it is getting an uneven rollout. Then, Mac mini because it is a tiny powerhouse with an excellent value proposition. After that, all the products are terrific and about even with each other at least in my opinion ... Thanks for a fun video!

I absolutely loved my 3 Apple purchases this year. iPhone 16 pro max in desert titanium, my purple m2 iPad Air and the AirPods Pro 2. I already have an Apple Watch series 9 and hopefully Apple won’t be seeing a £ out of me this year other than my iCloud subscription 😂 I’m broke now 😅

the m3 air DID NOT start with 16Gb ram. They were 8GB like alwys. They Pushed the m3 and m2 Air to 16GB in November 2024 with the release of the Macbook pro m4

Top 5 apple products of 2024 5. iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max (would go with at least 256GB of storage) (the only reason I don’t have the regular 16 on this list is because I can’t deal with 60hz, maybe when the 17 comes out with 120hz on base models, it’ll make my top 5) 4. MacBook Pro M4 Series 14/16 inch (would go with 14 inch) 3. Mac Mini M4 (would go with at least 512GB of storage) 2. Apple Watch Series 10 42/46mm (would go with 46mm) 1. iPad Pro M4 11/13 inch (would go with 13 inch) I ended up getting an iPhone 16 Pro Max, an Apple Watch Series 10 46mm and an iPad Pro M4 13 inch this year!

@@BrandonButch Well, it reminded me AVP exists, but from my 3 Apple store demos I could not justify the purchase because of it's small FOV and mediocre 90hz refresh rate, no SteamVR compatibility. On the PC side I can get so much more exiting stuff with PSVR2 it's not even a contest.
