or Jescar EVO frets. The hardness is between stainless and nickel-silver (std frets). They're slightly gold, barely noticeable on a guitar.
@peterbatten5966 ай бұрын
@@davidrees1840ibanez has started using them on some of their black label series guitars. Like on my Xiphos. I was wondering why they had a gold-ish tint. Those are right up there with stainless steel. Their jumbo sizes are more of a narrow, slightly lower size of stainless jumbo that I prefer.

I loved my tele it was my first guitar and I wore the frets out on it twice. And played it so much the paint start to chip and it looked relic. Played at my high school retreat went to go eat dinner when I returned it was stolen. I still curse that person to this day. It was also a lefty guitar so I have no idea why someone would take it. Anyways definitely recommend stainless steel frets with the comfortable neck and fat twang it just compliments the overall guitar especially if your playing that much it might be worth the extra $$$ plus the smooth bending is so nice.

A good Telecaster is buttery. It's good for jazz, blues, and rock and roll. It's well-balanced. It doesn't hang on your shoulders like a Les Paul. It's not slippery like a strat- the body has edges. It's Not Fragile like an SG. You can take out a drum set with it and it stays in tune.

I had the opportunity to get an Ultra Jazzmaster in a store clearance and I really enjoy it! I just replaced the pickups because I had to turn my amp really loud for them to make a sound, but I can honestly say that guitar makes me play more and better. I feel more like I'm finding the songs that are already in it, and it makes me stop playing notes and just play the guitar as a whole (finding out how to EQ better with the knobs, using vibrato decently, putting dead notes as ornamentation, etc). I also really like my telecaster copy but it's less impressive lol

For 306 bucks after shipping and all. No buzz, low action, and no sharp frets. Perfect finish and plays and sounds like a dream. A guitar that fender would charge 8-12 hundred for all day long.

To some degree. It's possible the reason for poor intonation is because of a sub standard fret replacement. But yes it can definitely be improved with truss rod adjustments, string gauge changes and saddle/nut adjustment.

Just get stainless frets next time. I held out for so long because of Toan, but it’s bullshit. I recorded DI’s before and after the install and it was identical. SS frets are better in every way. Stainless Steel jumbo frets last forever. Stainless steel "work hardens" so the frets get harder with use.
@MattMcConaha Жыл бұрын
Nickel silver also work hardens. In order to work harden something, you need to plastically deform it. If you plastically deform a fret after it's installed on a guitar, then it's already ruined. It has nothing to do with why stainless steel frets last longer, all that matters is that stainless steel is harder than nickel silver.
