Showing that the elders sent rock to test roman again So that roman can prove he is strong enough of a tribal chief to win without anyone's help And when the match ends rock could either fight roman for the title afterwards or solo could betray roman because roman lost and side with rock or even give a samoan spike to the rock too The last option builds solo's character too and even builds a triple threat for the title which solo could win Truthfully the best thing rock could do now is putting people over and if it's his own kin at that it's even better but there's no possibility of that happening , even roman will most likely take a hollywood break of at least a year or two when he loses the championship, rock vs roman builds no one else it just makes money and they both will get outta here soon

Ok. If the plan was for CM Punk to win the Rumble and challenge Rollins, with the Rock always having been planned to face Roman at Mania, I understand why this is a difficult situation. Another alternate pivot with the injury would be having someone injure Cody in storyline (Drew McIntyre?) so he misses Mania. And then the Rock can defeat whoever to become the #1 contender for Roman’s title.
