Im not sure if anyone mentioned it in the comments already: the portable air is used to combat altitude sickness. For example if you live in louisiana(or somewhere else at or around sea level) and you go to utah or somewhere in the mountains, you wouldnt be used to the elevation change and might have a hard time breathing,get lightheaded, etc
